System 2088 NXDN

Hi All,

MRC des Collines PD and about 7 FD will be switching to a new NXDN system soon. I was told some test are currentling taking place with a new site installed at Terrasses de la Chaudière. They should be in VHF but from were I am I didn't pickup anything.

If you can keep an eye in case you have some new system poping up.

Lucky for you, the Whistler TRX-1/TRX-2 now has a NXDN update. And only a mere US$650.

DSD will do for now and I don't really like the fact that the Whistler TRX-1/TRX-2 don't seem to be handling trunking at all,

Interesting Mike, though there are bits and pieces of other systems mixed in there e.g. 2008.

LTR is coming from NYS, rather extensive use there; may hear more during enhanced
propagation including channels with constant carriers, mostly 151-154+ MHz.

BTW 2088 channel 162.570, could that be 152.570 (possibly a typo) ?

I will keep an eye on things, also the 162.57.
Everything I come across I enter into SDR# with any info that comes up.

Can spend some time on this, home with a bad cold.

This area is kinda not far from me (I'm in Renfrew County, Ontario) and I can currently hear the MRC des Collines de l'Outaouais that's listed on this page.

Hello again,

I just noticed L2088 Site 3 is active on 163.305 Tuesday morning Jan. 17.
It is showing one neighbor site 2088-1

I have confirmed it is not a spurious signal on that frequency.

Yep, been there for about a week. Another CC has switched to 151.9100, quite weak here.

Voice channel activity now on Site 1 and 2, but VCs listed for Site 1 don't seem to map to CC activity. Site 1 shows two VCs, Site 2 has three, so far.

169.800 VC active but does not map to Site 1. Found VC 154.445, also not Site 1. Nothing on 167.675 (167.6775?), will check 158.090 (158.085 or 158.0925?)

Lots of ID aliases like AG-BASE-1 (Ange-Gardien?), M-773, Centrale etc. TGs in the 1xx and 2xx range.

Voice heard was encrypted. Sometimes, CC seemed to be carrying voice.

WX transmitter on 162.550 was off the air last night, also heard CC on 162.570 (weak here).

No idea what system they are from but perhaps of some help to you.

153,155 and 154,415 are part of an unrelated system. 164.770 would be 164.775 most likely; or 164.7675 maybe if we are down to 7.5kHz channels.

Thought of that later, was jumping around quite a bit. Most likely Site 2 by the signal strength as Sites 3 and 4 are very weak.
