Anybody hearing any coms from these fires. The only thing I have found for Table Rock is air support on 151.289 for Ceaser's head. Have not heard anything from Pickens county fire.

All I am hearing is TAC 5 with air drops. Nothing from Pickens county FD. The aircraft spotted another fire down by you in six mile now.

What i do not understand is they are landing for the night. certainly they can fly at night and much be easier to see the hot spots.

Greenville County FDs are coordinating their response to the Persimmon Ridge fire on Admin 10, which is Palmetto 800 talkgroup 44042. I have heard that talkgroup active on the Spartanburg site. There may be other talkgroups active - if you're in range to monitor the Caesars Head Palmetto 800 site, I expect you'd hear all related Palmetto 800 traffic.

I can barely hear the Glassy Mtn, Corbin Mtn and Long Mtn Forestry repeaters from my location, but there is occasional coordination radio traffic with the local dispatcher (Piedmont) on those frequencies. Additionally, I would expect several of the statewide Forestry simplex Tac channels to be in use, I know I heard reference to Tac 5 being used. I'm too far away to hear any actual traffic.

I would also monitor the VHF Interoperability and Incident Response frequencies for simplex use.

Air attack just passed 155.455 as air to ground, I think. Another 155.7xx (not heard last) was mentioned.

122.925, as you stated, has been active. They have been coordinating air units on the T. Rock incident, as well as a nearby fire, to de-conflict scooping operations from the Reservoir The other "frequency" I heard was the tone , but 155.455 heard mentioned again as A/G.
122.925 is used all over the US in supporting natural resource protection.

Fires blew up today with 40 MPH gusts from the southwest. Now the wind has to from the north and the fires are heading into more populous areas to miles from me. I am not under mandatory evac, yet, but am within 10 miles of it. Going to be a interesting night.

I am noticing that SC needs more radio traing. Most reponce are firefighters asking who to contact on mutual aid 6. Lots of confusion on those channels.
