On June 1, 2 & 3, I'll be on the road on the way to southern OK and probably to D-FW.
I'll be monitoring everything I can get programmed, in the database or not.

Does anyone have any requests or suggestions of TRS, etc that need to be looked at?

Only Pro-97 here, no P25, sorry :(

Let me know.

A lot of analog Mot TRS in Ok. (Sorry, OKC is all EDACS Pro-voice - unmonitorable). State of OK TRS is moto type II Smart-zone. in TX, lots of Moto analog TRS stuff, conventional stuf. Tx Highway Patrol now Digital in Denton and probibly the other sites which are dispatched out of Sherman. See the Texas databas as well as Ok and Mo for what interests you.

Might help if you could give some idea of your planned route. I'd guess Joplin to Tulsa to OKC then south on I-35?

I assume DFW = Dallas Forth Worth,
Most directions try to send you down 69.

I'm actually getting ready to make the trip from MO to Temple, Tx again, and this will be the route that I'm taking.

I suggest 44.7, 44.9, 45.18, 45.22, 155.49, 155.67. 155.76, 154.13 and 155.34.
There is usually activity on these all over the state. The low is OHP which still gets used alot outside of the I-44 corridor (sometimes even by the air units which is heard all over the state, also used for car to car on I-44). The VHF are the state mutual aid channels that are licensed to just about every PD/FD agency in the state and alot of them dispatch on them. HEAR is still used frequently by rural EMS.

Try the county dispatches. They usually do all or most of the PD action for that county around here unless the city is decently large.

OK... well I've combed through the rr and fcc database too.

Thanks for the info. Yes the assumed route is correct.

As well as the lowband info given, you might want the State TRS setups for Tulsa and Oklahoma City. I wouldn't worry about the Tulsa and OKC metro stuff if you are driving through, but you'll want the DPS/OHP TGs, especially the turnpike and rural TGs. Once you are south of Norman on I-35, the lowband stuff applies mostly for the OHP. Ardmore (Troop F - Frank) uses 45.22 and 45.18, and I-35 goes right through Ardmore. You might also want Carter, Murray and Love Counties, which I-35 passes through in southern Oklahoma.

Let's see:
Love County 155.595 and 155.370
Carter County 155.415 (SO) 155.355 (Fire)
Murray County 155.835

Right across the border into Texas on I-35 is Gainesville/Cooke County, Texas

Cooke County SO 155.315
Cooke County EMS 453.125
Gainesville PD 155.430
Gainesville FD 453.950
Gainesville EMS 462.950

Haven't checked the Texas ones in a year or so, so you might want to confirm them. They're what i used when I went to the Gainesville hamfest and stayed at a local motel overnight.
