Can you give me some direction.

More details, please. What system? What talk group numbers? What kind of system? What are you trying to enter?

Thank you for responding.
My scanner is a Uniden 396 XT. I'm trying to set up a Motorols trunked system and when I enter the Talk Group numbers I have it says they are not valid.
Some numbers I'm trying to input are: 43248, 43216, 43280. They are numbers I understand go with the frequencies I have programed.
Any ideas?
Thank you.

And even if your manual entry procedure is done perfectly, your efforts may be effected by:

Clark Regional Emergency Services Agency (CRESA) Trunking System, Vancouver, Multi-State - Scanner Frequencies

Important Rebanded Note: One or more sites for this trunking system have gone through the 800 MHz rebanding process. Your scanner may be incompatible, require a firmware update or require special programming to track these sites. Please visit the RR Wiki Rebanding page for additional information.

Which scanner are you using? Your thread title says 396T, but in one of your messages it says 396XT.

The older 396T is not rebanding-ready out of the box, and must be upgraded via a firmware patch. The XT model doesn't have this issue. Mike

I'm using the BCD 396 XT. I checked and it has MOT listed by the system site.
I entered for the frequency 859.76250. All TGID's I try and enter starting with 43248 say it is invalid. Not sure what to do now.

With you being a premium subscriber, I'd recommend downloading FreeScan software.

https://sites.google.com/site/sixspotsoftware//products/freescan

Using this software, you have the ability to connect to the RR database and download the "stuff" you need to program your scanner for the desired system. It's the next best thing to being automatic.

You won't have to worry about plugging in numbers in the correct spot - the software does that for you.
