Ten Tec Rx320

I just bought a Ten Tec Rx320 off eBay and I was wondering if anyone has used this receiver on windows 8? And will a USB to 9 pin adapter work? Thanks...

For the most part I liked the receiver when I reviewed for Radio Netherlands back when (see http://www.mwcircle.org/mw_rec_rx320.htm). The original software is now so many Windows versions old that I really doubt it would work with 8. The search string "ten tec rx 320 software" shows a bunch of current software third party alternatives that can probably address the cabling question too. HTH.

Having had the 320 for quite a while - it's really not a SDR - it's more a computer controlled radio (the RF and AF sections are entirely a standard design - no A/D conversions here...). It is, however, a darn good radio for the money. Put a good antenna on it and you'll be amazed a what that radio can hear...even digital stuff, too...

There is a RX320 Yahoo group where you can learn much more about this recently-discontinued (yes, I read somewhere that they have finally retired it...) radio here...
