10270 Has not been added to the database, it is Sandy Springs Police Dispatch (Chattcom) according to the service locations given
Note also that the talkgroups in use so far appear to be Phase I talkgroups, meaning older digital scanners should still be useful for now. I'm using a 436 and a 536, and I don't still have any digital scanners that don't do Phase II, so I haven't personally tested this and someone can correct me if I am wrong. But my understanding is this is a Phase II capable system - meaning it is capable of carrying Phase II TDMA talkgroups on it - but it can (and right now is) also carrying Phase I talkgroups that most any digital scanner can monitor.
In other words, if you have a scanner that can monitor Atlanta, DeKalb, Forsyth, Cobb, etc. right now, you should be good on NFRRS for now also.

Is a Atlanta Ga are going to go encrypted for police/ems/fire ?
Yep. And I heard a SSPD unit ask another unit to go to Tac, and then they showed up on 10271. So I've added both to the database. Let's keep 'em comin'.

Hello, I am new to scanning and I have a Uniden Homepatrol II and have been listening to sandy springs police dispatch and similar channels for the past few months. Recently nothing has been transmitted over SSP dispatch so I looked it up and I guess you guys are saying they switched systems. I dont get how these talk group id things work? How do i find the new channel SSPD dispatch is on?
Did anyone else notice a severe drop in quality this afternoon and a return to better quality this evening.
I heard garbled transmissions and long dropouts during the day and pretty good quality this evening.
Could they be fine tuning the system?
