My unknown stuff from my scan yesterday,

CBC Broadcasting Centre
463.8500 Cap+ CC 6 LCN 1
453.8375 Cap+ CC 6 LCN 2
Didn't hear any activity tho.

Art Gallery Of Ontario
452.3625 Cap+ CC 2 TG 106 encrypted

406.8375 DMR CC 10 TG 8356 heard this again.. which I believe could be St Joseph's but haven't been able to get out to that area as lately I have been using the GO Train to get into the city. The other frequency used is 422.8750 DMR CC 10.

460.9250 DMR CC 11 TG 5779 I believe they mentioned something about Simcoe.. (maybe Simcoe St?)

451.4750 Cap+ CC 10 and 451.1375 Cap+ CC 10 TG 109/110/126 all encrypted.. in the past I heard also 105/106/128 all encrypted. I believe this is Ontario Place as they are licensed on both frequencies.

461.7500 DMR CC 9 TG 1

461.8875 NX96 RAN 1 TG 1

452.8125 DMR CC 11 TG 4

469.9000 DMR CC 1 TG 210225 not sure what this is but maybe construction guys?

Heard around when I was waiting for my train at Union.

453.7250 DMR CC 8 TG 102

463.9625 Cap+ CC 11

I guess there's no way to Close Call DMR simplex on Uniden's... I was at Cirque du Soleil and Casa Loma over the weekend... Cirque looks like XPR 7550's with helical UHF and Casa Loma looks like UHF as well. But CC got zilch in the hours I was there so I'm assuming they're both simplex Cirque is listed in TAFL. Should've punched it in to DSDPlus. LOL. TAFL Search Results

I also heard a bit more action on 413.2125 Cap+ CC 9 today. On TG 100 I heard something about a transfer to CCCT
TG 120 Sounded like maintenance of some type.. Need to go to Unit 15, Sounded like Parlour Block 159 or something similar? The lounge sink needs to be checked.
It's definitely a hospital of some sort with an emergency department and 5-digit phone extensions. DSDPlus logged this as 6 slots but the system wasn't buzy enough for me to find the other LCNs.

TG 100 - likely security (ED Transfer, 3 Lobby)
TG 130 - confirmed Environmental Services (call PRT x32651, call ED x36405)
TG 140 - unk
TG 145 - reference to dining room

Could it be CAMH at Ossington and Queen St. West?
I saw that frequency licensed to them in TAFL. I tried Googling the main switchboard of CAMH number with those extensions, but no confirmation.

Yes you're totally right. I looked at my old notes and 452.2625 I wrote down as Ch 5/6 Cap+ Site 1 DCC 9 and talkgroup descriptions are the same.

so likely CAMH, Cap+ Site 1 DCC 9
Ch 1/2 is 413.2125
Ch 3/4 ?
Ch 5/6 is 452.2625

Just a thought based on RF experience. It is super rare for a system to be using both the 41x and 45x/46x as part of the same system. It could happen if they has licenses for both the frequencies. This is not to say the information is wrong. I suggest when the opportunity is present to dig a bit deeper on the signal strengths etc to verify they are part of the same system.

Hmm interesting.. I did checked the CAMH web page and they do have 5 digit extensions starting with 3XXXX. So it could be likely that this may as well be them. I also have a log on 452.2625 CC 9 but no talkgroup info.

I was back in Toronto today for another dentist appointment and did a bunch of walking today. I was able to finally, finally able to figure out that 413.2125 is CAMH! I was also able to confirm Ontario Place and Toronto Western.

Thanks Matt.

Looking into the licensing for the Ontario Place frequencies, I see that it is a BearCom Special Events system used at the Budweiser Stage.

Ahh that would make sense! Thank Mike. I am guessing that this is being used by both Budweiser Stage and Ontario Place for ops? Or is it just Budweiser Stage?

I sat outside Women's College Hospital for a while but didn't hear anything for the hospital but did log a few other frequencies.
453.7625 DMR CC 1 TG 1
460.1625 DMR CC 4 TG 10
461.7500 DMR CC 9 TG 1 .. this one I also heard coming into the city from the western part of the old city of Toronto
452.2125 Cap+ CC 1

Jimmy Carr was at the Meridian Centre yesterday. I sat outside there for a bit.. I did hear something on one of the FRS/GMRS frequencies that was using DMR that was most-likely being used by them but didn't have enough time to confirm it but while in that area I also heard
452.5375 DMR CC 5 TG 1010
451.1875 DMR CC 2 TG 101

Also the guys from my I post from my previous trip to the city 469.9000 DMR CC 1 TG 210225 sounded like they where using 463.8500 with the same CC and TG.

One question more.. 462.5625 DMR CC 9 TG 1is listed as Metrolinx/Eglington Crosstown LRT.. I believe I heard them active yesterday.. someone mention about coming up to open the gate as well as getting someone else to the North End. Does anyone know what the exact usage of this frequency is used for?

mb That is a FRS freq (CH1) It might be a contractor. Opening a construction gate and working a construction site would fit that type of use and user. I doubt its an actual Metrolinx channel.

I kind of thought that was what it was being used for. Metrolinx is doing construction rail work on the tracks extending them to the mainline out of the station up here in the North End by the West Harbour GO so that would make sense.

Does ISED canada now allow DMR on the FRS GMRS bands? Or for that matter any digital.
No they do not, but so many companies just buy hardware and get it programmed, or it's bought already on frequencies such as a FRS or LPU. ISED has practically no enforcement of the spectrum, so this is extremely common. Licensing a frequency(s) is incredibly difficult and time consuming not to mention using "Canadian" approved hardware. Add in that users like construction, security, maintenance etc often move from site to site with in the year/season making it even harder to get a frequency assignment.

On the plus side, it gives us something to monitor, so I am not complaining. If it was not so easy for this type of thing to happen I can see many users either not using radios at all, or resorting to cellphones. As a general rule, many of us scan the FRS and LPU frequencies regularly just to catch the local construction site or building security.

Some stuff I got today..
Looks like this is definitely Billy Bishop Airport..
454.0375 & 461.2375 DT3 Sys 1 Site 1 heard tg 20 tg 30. I couldn't get the LCN's for this system so maybe someone in he area can get them

Looks like Harbourfront Centre is now a Capacity Plus
461.4875 Cap+ CC 12 & 462.2375 CC 13 Heard TG 33 which is security.. heard them watching someone and TG 35 which I think was Maintenance another one I tried to get the LCNs for but couldn't.

Hudson's Bay security was following watching someone acting suspicious in the men's Show Department up on the 2nd Floor.
460.1625 DMR CC 10 TG 102 Security

463.9625 Cap+ CC 11 TG 60 Security.. Still not sure who they are.. I heard them mainly around Bay south of Front and York south of Front.

For 463.9625, possibilities are Harbourfront Centre, Billy Bishop Airport, 1 King West, TD Centre according to licenses.

Cap+ Site1 DCC9 Ch1/2 Likely Hudsons Bay Centre (2 Bloor St E)
TG 1 Security (S3, S4, concourse, lobby, elevators, 3rd fl, 1B, west concourse, food court)
TG 2

It looks like you are correct with this one but it's DMR not Cap+. I was outside and heard them without any antenna.

Some stuff I logged from yesterday:
463.9625 DMR CC 5 TG 2020
I believe this could be One King St W Hotel & Residence as I also logged previous 452.5375 DMR CC 5 TG 1010 & 4040, which are both licensed to them.

453.8875 Cap+ CC 9 TG 140
Could this be the second LCN for CAMH?

454.2250 Cap+ CC 6
Didn't hear any TG's while in the area but it's probably the Four Seasons. I only was able to hear it heard it the closer to Yorkville I got. It disappeared once I went more south on Bay near Bloor.

452.2625 DMR CC 9 TG 1
Probably 2 Bloor St E., Heard it outside with no antenna.

452.2625 Cap+ CC 1 TG 132

451.1875 DMR CC 6 TG 10.. maybe 2 Queen E?

460.1625 DMR CC 12 TG 30
Cleaners.. heard while walking through the TD Centre.. maybe Richmond-Adelaide Centre?
