Sniffer

Good catch! Any chance I'll get a sniff on him with my new (wannabe) ADS-B setup if he heads this way? Also, you prolly "didn't smell anything" on him cause that bird is a "sniffer" and not a "sniffee".

I don't see why not but she did stay up in Nebraska mainly, I just happen to be close enough to KOFF, where it is based out of. Good point on the scent pickup!

call sign? tail number?

I'm sorry. I never recorded it. I know it was a rather neat callsign as I heard them call into KOFF (I think it was KOFF). I tried to see if VRS had a log for me to check but either I don't know how to do it or find it - or its not recording those details...

Hmm. Ok, then how did you know what type of aircraft it was? Just trying to confirm what you heard since that's a pretty rare one. I think there's only a few, maybe 10-15 total.

There are 2 of them 61-2667 and 62-3582.

Yep, I think the rest are in the boneyard. Here's one of them coming back "hot" after a mission around Fukushima.
