Trunk Recorder -- issues blacklisting / preventing TGs from being recorded

Now this could just be me, not knowing what I'm doing. i'm monitoring a P25 CQPSK system (PHase I talkgroups only) on a robust PC using an Airspy.

1. I cannot stop encrypted talkgroups from being recorded

The log file says encrypted talkgroups are NOT being recorded. But it is totally lying. I can see / hear those encrypted talkgroups on RR right now.

2. Whether I use priority 99 or priority 100 in the talkgroups.csv file, it isn't preventing those talkgroups from being recorded

The log doesn't say that they are _not_ being recorded, and I can verify that they definitely _are_ being recorded even with a priority of 99 or 100 set.

Yeah, I know this isn't the support forums for Trunk Recorder, but it beats about any other method of support for TR that I can find. The guys (and gals?) on Gitter.Im seem to only be awake when I'm sleeping heh.

Is anyone using Trunk Recorder and successfully able to (a) prevent encrypted talkgroups from being recorded / uploaded and (b) use priority 99 or 100 to stop talkgroups in the talkgroups.csv file from being recorded / uploaded?

Actually, this is odd. The logfile shows many hits on 45008 (an ENC talkgorup, which also has priority set to 99, was 100, in talkgroups.csv): It looks like much of the time the encrypted talkgroup is NOT being recorded but that occasionally it DOES get recorded.

Ok, I found my particular problem (with the help of @gofaster and @bctrainers over on Gitter.Im). The "priority" was not working. And in my case this was because my talkgroups.csv file looked like this:

Notice the hex talkgroup ID column is blank -- eg; ,, (nothing in between the two commas)

TR did not like that -- did not parse it correctly.

I used the =dec2hex function in Excel to generate the hex numbers to put between ,, and now priority works great.

So for anyone creating a talkgroups.csv file to use with Trunk Recorder, I would highly recommend that you have 8 fully filled out columns per row -- Do not skip entering data by using ,, .

I know this is somewhat of an old thread but a great discovery for me to stop encrypted files from uploading to Calls. I knew there had to be an answer. Who thought you had to have the hex in the csv file. Thanks, been looking for days!
