First post ever, and I am ready to purchase an SDS100 and there are a couple for sale right now in the classifieds. The problem I am running into is, “you may not start a conversation with this user”, for both listings. I did some looking around before I posted this and found the following statement, “Currently, you must be a Premium Subscriber to post an add in the classifieds, however all RadioReference visitors and members can respond to and act on any ad.” So, I am wondering what I am doing wrong. If I can't reach out to them, can someone else reach out to the seller(s) for me and have them contact me instead?

Welcome to Radio Reference!

Certain RR functions (such as private messaging) are limited for new members until they have some posting history.

Thanks! I totally understand why you are moderating members that are unknown, no problem with that. I actually did find that post and read it, but my mind was specifically on the classified section and to reach out to the seller the button says, "Contact user..." My literal mind didn't connect the dots to being a "post". My suggestion to RR would be to add, "except for Newbies" at the end of the Classifieds wiki statement, "...all RR visitors and members can respond to and act on any ad." Actually re-reading that wiki statement, it says, "respond to" not "post", so it actually (in my mind) doesn't correlate with the new member info, hence me not connecting the dots. Sorry, but I speak up when I see improvements can be made, especially for us literal readers out there. I do this to people at work also, but I put together and review contracts for a living, so...yeah there's that. Great first impression, huh?
