Another factor that would go into suggesting some reshuffling having happened is that for me the main tower where I am located is pulling off of the Nepean one. Apparently this would probably explain why most of the other identified still in progress(not summer only or even rentals) in identifying TGID's have gone silent for me and it giving me a new set of TGID's in a different range..
Frank
After some Data mining in my listening history in ProScan, silence would be mainly due to my mistakenly locking out the two other sites that were giving me good signal(003 (3) Chateau Royal and 012 (C) Camp Fortune) I did notice the same radio id series being used among the all the Algonquin C tags. So it might be an upgrade? Also I was checking out the System and Digital Type of these new low numbered TGID's and saw that they were all MotoTRBO Trunk with CAP.
I leave it for the experts in these systems to find out exactly what has transpired and edit(if need be) the DB.

201-3 seems to be off line

Possibly, but may be more to this.

Interesting. 461.2875 which is (was?) part of Connect+ Site 27 is now showing as Cap+ with DCC=3.
....ETC
Dave

201-3
site 201-3 seems to be off line also. Cannot receive anything on the usual frequencies.

Could you check if anything is reporting Site 27 as neighbor (also Site 3 which you mentioned MIA)?

Also, 462.8875 which is the other Site 27 frequency seems to be active, not with Cap+ like 461.2875.

I noticed everything came back active for me when I programmed in the Crosswinds and Place De Ville sites. I locked out Nepean as it was pulling in TGID's from another system as yet to be identified and submitted in the DB. The system must have been rearranged to fit in the Algonquin College system and the Shaw System mentioned in an earlier post.

No surprise to me as there appears to be a lot of over-capacity in this system (and others) on certain sites; so frequencies being scaled back or complete sites disappearing was bound to happen.

These systems were built out gobbling a whole pile of frequencies. Connect+ CC may take only one timeslot but it consumes a frequency which can't be shared with anything else usually within 10's of km. Running day and night uses power, and all those continuous carriers must be creating an interference nightmare. Reality may be catching up.

Wondering how OnQue is managing. Largest site in the Ottawa area has only three VCs and even on weekdays I hardly see them all in use (except during school bus busy hours). On some single channel filler sites e.g. Renfrew I have yet to hear any activity, checking on and off.

There's cross-border competition from Exelradio and CTM who seem to be doing not too badly.

Site 12 is back; wondered how it could go away, being as busy as it was.

Still no sign of Site 3 and 6 here despite they are being reported as neighbours.

Not to get off topic here or anything, only thing I've ever heard off of the Renfrew Tower for OnQ was Enbridge Gas, and only once did I ever hear K-Line as well, only other notable I heard was Herbs Towing - Cornwall. Interestingly enough I heard that off of the Pembroke Tower.

OnQ is very quiet around here.

Hello all,
Based on my assessment of what has been posted so far regarding this and my experimenting with different systems in my unit I am seeing a slightly different "system" based at Algonquin college. I am seeing the site # is 1 and no network. Also the digital signal is different than the current Turris network the current one is CON vs this new one is CAP. That according to me is reason to believe that the system removed Site 27 and set up a new system with the same frequencies.
I programmed it in with just 461.2875 as the CC and am receiving the lower TGID's (10, 20, 30 etc) and none of the other TGID's on the rest of the Turris Sites. Looking for confirmation/clarification regarding this.

Dave: yes site 12 is on line again. Wonder what was going on?

fmoore: Looks like it has changed from Con+, 201, 27 to a Cap+ system

Cap+ Site:1 DCC:3

Current channel is first Cap+ repeater (Ch 1 and Ch2)

It looks like several providers are splintering off freqs to make new systems or subsystems. My general opinion is that they are doing this to 'upgrade from something like cap+ to TIII. The sad part is that TAFL is way behind on listing such changes.

Infomation here is available usually within 24 hours of something being changed.

I don't see any indication that the 2nd frequency 462.8875 is part of this system...unless someone
else has...

Dave

I have it running and logging for a few hours now, and it never goes to 462.8875 (so far)

RID's 3001 3011 3016 3017
TG's 10 30

I had submitted it with the TAFL search results(giving multiple freqs), if you guys are not seeing anything other than the single frequency being active in this system its safe to say its it's only frequency. As far as the shaw system, i am in the bayshore area so I am not close enough to confirm that.
