I'm here a lot
Please do not cut and paste the whole file contents here. Rather, upload a link that people can click on.I have taken care of that for you on the above post.

The details you posted are the equivalent of a 7 page word document and is hard to read with a lot of page scrolling required.

I think it is fantastic that you are finding this info out but please help me keep the forum display at a reasonable size.

Thanks! :)

Just a few more questions right now.

In my FMP screen. I see this. It also shows up in the VC Log text file.

Initiating TCP connection to 127.0.0.1:20002...
TCP connect error = 10061
[No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it]
----

In my DSD+ Con+ Channel Activity Window, I have the following showing.

Ch. 1 424.3875 CC
Ch. 2 424.3875
Ch. 3 423.9875
Ch. 4 423.9875

From this system. Turris Communications - PushPlus Network (UHF 201) Trunking System, Multiple Locations, Multi-State - Scanner Frequencies

But yet, I'm not holding on that Control Channel. I'm actually on 460.075 and that's what showed up in the channel activity window last time there was any activity.

-----

This is how my DSDPlus.Frequencies file looks. Is this correct?

** I did however have the site number wrong for Foymount UHF PushPlus network, I had it as 18 instead of 20, I'm thinking that may have caused some issues.

FMP doesn't initiate TCP connections, so that message wasn't on your FMP screen.

You said it yourself - you put bad data into the .frequencies file.

Be sure to put a semicolon at the start of lines that are only information so the command processor does not attempt to process them.

Example:
;Foymount Turris Communications - PushPlus Network etc.
Con+, 201, 20, 1, 424.3875, 0.0, 0 0
Con+, 201, 20, 3, 423.9875, 0.0, 0 0
;
Not really sure how it will affect FMP if these lines are not entered as comments.
Perhaps it does not matter, does anyone else have more advanced info on this?

These three sites are missing site numbers in the Con+ lines with frequencies etc.

I'll have a look over my file again tonight. I think I had to readjust them a bit and fill in a few holes.

Just been trying to understand and edit these files properly and hope that they bring up info.

I thought though that it was also supposed to bring up info from the government frequency database but I haven't seen anything like that yet.

It works with the database files you provide it with. You haven't mentioned anything about downloading or configuring any of those files. I'm not aware of a current link to a Canadian .csv file, so I'm guessing you don't have one. I'll re-upload my old one and post a link...

Actually I've been able to get the searching of frequency info fixed. And now when I go to a particular frequency the info comes up. I have had a tafl csv file sent to me and it seems to be working now.

receiver with a discriminator tap

Is there any way to scan these systems without having a second USB dongle?

You can if you send the control channel to your computer from a receiver with a discriminator tap.
Then your SDR device will be controlled by FMP to follow the voice.

NXDN96 with FMP

I have DMR running perfectly with FMP.
I had not tried voice following with NXDN96, so I set FMP up for site L2076.

It will not read the frequencies from the frequencies file as it does with DMR sites.

All else is running fine, except for reading the frequencies.

Wondering if anyone else has NXDN96 running, and is it working OK?

I haven't seen much activity yet on the Nexedge system yet, I've only logged 2 talkgroups and mostly just radios being activated an such, but that's about it.

I do know, however though that Beaumon Recycling out of Renfrew is definitely on the VHF system Turris Communications - Renfrew (VHF 201) Trunking System, Multiple Locations, Ontario - Scanner Frequencies I'm just not sure on the talkgroup, they may even use 2 different ones.

I heard Beaumon base calling a truck, in one of the audio files, but didn't catch the talkgroup, I'll have to go back at some point and maybe try and find it.

So I've made quite the progress in this so far and thankful for all the help recieved on this. Hoping to be able to monitor it more very soon.

NXDN etc.

There is activity here on NXDN but nothing very interesting, that is why I listen to DMR with FMP.

I cannot hear the system you listen to.
Do you have a list of interesting frequencies up your way I could try?
You can just email me. But, I am probably too far east. Might be able to hear Arnprior.
I will try some of the frequencies from RR database.

Only systems I'm listening to or monitoring are those mentioned in this thread already. Check my first post for frequencies, the systems are already in the database under Renfrew County. I can't hear anything other than those.

I am just waiting for some cables to connect my RTL-SDR's to my outside antenna and I will be setting up a machine to start checking these systems. If when it's up I can give access via teamviewer if someone wants to muck around with it.

On sunday I was able to copy some voice on 163.755 DMR, TG 32000. However, despite a fairly good signal, the network ID etc. kept flitting in and out, and DSD+ seemed confused by UHF and VHF sites with same site number and network ID.
