1) In the screen display, my favorites will show up with a small, white box in the upper left-hand corner, just above the VOLUME [V:0] indicator. What is it signifying?

2) One of my systems [C.H.P.] is NOT showing up on the top line of the display...but just this one.

All of the other systems show, as do their corresponding departments and channels. I have checked my options/settings which reflect my choices, but the display still does not show this one system. What have I missed?

All suggestions will be most gratefully received!

...assuming you mean SDS200;

Question 1; I can’t help.
Question 2; Are you hearing anything on the C.H.P. system? Is it a trunked system? If so, it could be the site name is showing in the display instead of what you thought should be displayed. You can change the site name to C.H.P. or anything you like... maybe just add C.H.P. in front of the site name. The display should now tell you the agency (C.H.P.) and the site you hear them on. But I’m from Ct., and thought Cal Highway Patrol was a low band VHF conventional system. Which means it’s not a trunked system. In which case my suggestion is not relevant.

Question 1. Press the big Function Knob on the left. See if an "F" appears in the box. If it does it means Function

Correct. CHP is a conventional, low band VHF, analog system. There is a 700 Mhz system for CHP, but it is not the problem.

I am hearing everything that I've programmed into the download; as I mentioned in my post, nothing is missing from the scanner program---other than the "CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL" that usually appears in the SYSTEM portion of the display. That white box continues to appear in the upper LH corner of the display [see thumbnail]. Pressing the "F" button just rotates from the "F" to this white box...
