Two questions about the PSR-500

When in scan mode, the radio stops on a talkgroup, and in the upper left hand corner it says "Scn-####" #### being the object number. How do you get it to display the scan list number and the object number? I noticed it did it sometimes, but now it only shows Scn. Also, does anyone have good settings for the S-Meter? Mine has 4 bars when it isn't even picking a signal up.

I'm using 470/540/610/680/750 which I found on a post here. As they said, tones down the overly optimistic signal meter.

As far as I know, it only shows the scanlist number i.e. 14-0045, when in MAN mode, not during scanning.

I think JE is right . It displays the object during the scan mode only. I.E. Scn0503 is object 0503.

Humm, maybe I thought it was in scan mode when it wasn't, oh well, I wish it had some way to tell you the scanlist it was on. Those S Meter values helped a lot, thanks! But I still get 1.5 bars without any signal.
