What would this have to do with the frequency he asked about? 146.975 -.600 is 146.375 assuming he has the shift set correctly. If he has it wrong and at 6Meg, that still wouldn't land the radio on 144.005 or 143.975. I am just trying to for my own information figure out why you asked this question.

While I don't likely have the same version of the 350 he does, mine will transmit on 144.005 and the one not modded will transmit there. It will not transmit on 143.995. I have two, one was mars modded when I got it and the other one not so I checked the non modded one.

Can you post a photo of the factory tag on the radio?

It appears your radio is band locked to only transmit between 144 and 146MHz on VHF

when purchased radio transmitted on repeaters normally

From my experience, I doubt this is the problem. I once accidentally tried to update the firmware in one of my US market Yaesu radios with the European version firmware. It flat wouldn't let me. I kept getting errors until I realized my mistake and used the correct version.

It seems the OP is unwilling to respond to our requests for a picture of the radio's label, but keeps insisting this is a US market radio.

I have had two FTM 350s for years and done all kinds of programming on those and also same radio for others. I have never had one "reset itself". I'm not sure how that could even happen.

Ok so the radio was working and now suddenly it's not? You attempted no upgrades, no modifications whatsoever, or no other thing other than programming a new repeater and this has happened??

It is also possible the radio is suffering "EEPROM rot" like many old radios that rely on EEPROMS for memory storage and operation do.
Looks like Q1775 is where the magic happens. 512KB EEPROM.
If resetting the radio doesn't make it work, I'd be willing to bet this EEPROM is the culprit. Common part and it's about a buck.

Do you have the original box? On the box there is a indication of the market the radio was intended for. Look under the model number for the word "Dest:" It should show you what market the radio was manufactured for. Normally, an "R" in the model number indicates a radio made for the US/Canada market, but I'm not sure that applies with this older radio. The only other thing I can think of is trying to reflash it with the original firmware available on the Yaesu.com website. There are three versions, USA, Europe, and Australia & New Zealand. You need to know which market the radio was originally intended for as you usually can't flash a radio with the firmware for a different market.

Possibly, but then a corrupted EEPROM can also result in errant and odd operation. The ROS on these devices isn't as sophisticated at what say runs on an OMAP radio like an XTS or L3H subscriber, so it could be interpreting stored data as garbage or out of band and blocking it. The key to this is the condition persists after a full reset
