Type I still active in Savannah?

I noticed carriage tours of savannah using mtx800's (not 810's or 820's).
Just wondering if anyone is familiar with what system this is.

The MTX 800 is used for 800 mhz.

I'm aware of that, but the mtx800 only does type 1 trunking --- there are not anymore type 1 cabable systems on the list for chatham co. --- only type 2, ltr, and iden.

I beg to differ...my MTX800 does a great job on conventional 800 freq's.

I'm sure it will, but conventional repeaters don't give you the talk-permit tones (bip-bip-bip) like a trunking system.

Somebody didn't do there homework.
Savannah Com System 3&4 are and I quote,"Are Type 1 and 2".
Should know because I send in the TG's.
