Unication G5 Repair Suggestions

Everyone,

I have a question regarding any experience sending in G5’s for repairs, specifically the micro USB port on the side. I have a couple that have with loose micro USB ports on the side I would like to get repaired.

I am looking to see what recommendations have been done for repairs and positive experiences, etc. Our local vendor suggested that we look at a ticket with Unication. Thoughts?

Seems the only repair is pay the flat rate to Unication repair. I had to do that with one of mine when the usb port came loose.

The other option is Uncation if the pager is less than 5 years old. I had a G1 Department pager buttons came off the front I called Unication to see how much it would cost for repair they ask for the serial number they stated it was over 5 years old and they would not repair the pager even if I paid.

Thanks for the info. These ones would be pushing that 5 year mark, as they were the first round we purchased. I would have to pull S/N and look at our purchasing records to see what that looks like.

If they are, would a third party vendor like one of these online pager sales that have the repair option fix for a rate?

At one time they repaired scanners and were very good at it.

I believe that Unication would repair the Out Of Warranty G5( regardless of its age) for flat fee of $199.00 plus any dealers fees. They will however return any unrepairable units to the owners.

It was 2 years ago that I had the problem with my G1 they at that time stated that they did not repair any pager over 5 years old.

G-Series Voice Pager products & accessories that are out of warranty can be repaired for a flat rate repair fee, if eligible. The flat rate repair program is limited to repairable products only. Products determined to be unrepairable (unable to be repaired/ not economical to repair/ unable to refurbish) will be returned unrepaired in their original condition.

The OOW (Out of Warranty) fees listed below are the flat rate pricing set by Unication USA. Dealers may have additional fees to cover shipping, time, and other services

G1 Voice Pager $109.00
G2/G4 Voice Pager $179.00
G3/G5 Voice Pager $199.00
Micro USB Port Replacement ONLY (G2-G5)*
Accessories Flat Rate Repair Fees:

• Do not ship device until instructed by Unication technician.
• Repaired device includes a 30-day warranty on the repaired part only.
• All P25 Voice Pagers (G2-G5) sent in for repair must include the device antenna. If the issue is labeled as Powercycling or Charging, include the battery as well.
• Unication’s Flat Rate Repair Program is limited to repairable devices (unable to be repaired/ not economical to repair/ unable to refurbish) only. No replacement device will be provided if repair is not possible. The unrepaired device will be returned unrepaired in the condition received.
