A old handheld scanner antenna jack was damaged possibly while being shipped. I respect the Uniden excellent support team. Top notch. They value and respect us as a family.

Ouch, what did I ever do to you.. I just dipped my beak back in after not reading for a while is all. Looks like you got a few reactions at my expense.

The reason for my post was my way of saying this thread is long overdue to be shot and buried.

You were too lazy to go get the box Uniden used to send your radio in the first place and to cheap to pay, was it $ 6 dollars to get a proper box at FEDEX. First off those who do nothing bad add grief to a situation that is causing another human being grief , ( by the way the scanner has a sentimental value as it was one of the few things that I took with me when we had to evacuate our home and I could save from the wildfire that destroyed our home in 2020) reveal the darkness in their hearts, something to ponder as you continue to respond with nothing but criticism, I bet your not feeling so good now about what you and others had to say, i bet you wouldn’t have the guts to say it to my face now that you know what know, secondly it’s interesting to note in the reply below he’s talking about the same kind of box I was going to send it back in originally note the BNC damage and the fact that Uniden is still using the same type box since 2010! You can’t make this stuff up and I’m negligent, give me a break!

I am 77 years old so have 20 more years of reality than you do bud.

You'd still have a 145-odd posts for a count and about a 500 to a thousand less people that think you're displaying all this attention seeking behaviour.

Uniden customer support issues still isn't trending, you're trending - and it ain't good...and my offer stands to buy the unit off you for the price of the repair. Ball is in your court.

It's only a matter of time before you rage-quit here and go on to QRZed or reddit, and bash RR. You'll be back in 6 mos to a year as a guest or a lurker with a burner email. Count on it.

Pointing out that you used a crappy method to ship the scanner is not "gaslighting", it's called TRUTH TELLING. But again, you are the victim here, so nothing anyone says is going to matter. I guess 95% of this forum are gaslighting, black-hearted pricks who are really into schadenfreude. 🤦‍♂️

Does anyone know of a repair center or radio shop for Uniden scanners. I have a 396 which was connected to the wrong power pack. Thanks, Chris

Just logged on to RR to get some database info and to browse the forum to see what everyone is up to, and honestly did not expect that. Some people like to use religious wording as a scare tactic when they've backed themselves into a corner.
