Regarding the (Scanner Masters) remote head RH200, if learned from a Dutch scannerforum that the RH200 is close to it’s release. Should be available in the Netherlands in the first few months of 2026 and should work on all Uniden scanners up to approx 15 years old. Price is still unkown. I guess the RH200 must be available in the US too and probably very soon.

Really big change to the RH200 is that you can close down your SDS100/150/200 and 436HP from the remote head without the risk of compromising the mini SD-card. Off course you can start the scanners from the RH200 too.

Personally I have no intrest in a remote head as I can use my laptop with Butels ARC536PRO or Proscan with Virtual Scan.
Scanner Master has been working diligently on development of the RH-200, a remote control and display unit for many Uniden scanners over the last 2 years. While several working prototypes have successfully been built, it has been found that production of retail units would be cost-prohibitive for both the company and the consumer.

We regret that we are unable to bring this project to market at this time and remain committed to bringing the scanner community the products and support that Scanner Master has been famous for. Should circumstances allow the RH-200 to be produced for retail we will of course announce it here.

We appreciate the support and encouragement of the scanner community during the development of this project.

Sincerely,

The Scanner Master RH-200 Development Team:

A little gutted about that, given it was going to be a nice small unit that wouldn't look like a tablet sitting out in the open in a vehicle. Understandable though, and all of the negative comments before it even came out definitely wouldn't have helped the cause. Hopefully one day - it's frustrating that DIN/Double-DIN pockets aren't a thing anymore.

Did you not see the announcement by Scanner Master that they have stopped work on development of this?
I did. On another thread.

I don't believe that announcement means the death of the RH200, perhaps only the American made (read: Tariffed) version is dead.

As a die hard scanner hobbyist, I really want to believe what @cmaness2001 expresses on this matter, but the reality of what @garys states is irrefutable... I doubt that the entire EU could possibly come close to the US market for scanners.

And on a personal note, I question Scanner Master's thinking on this. I remember that some of us bought their "BC296D Remote Head" (prior to the RH-96) custom product back in the early 2006/2007 time frame (and still using it everyday). That was over $1000 back then--which is probably closer to $2000 in today's money. Perhaps if they had polled the community they might have been surprised at what people would pay for this much-anticipated product.

I don't think that the market is there for the control head. Especially if the SDS100/200 can be made to work with U/Aware then the is not much market for it.
Has there been talks about the SDS100/200 being brought to the U/Aware app? Not sure how it would be possible since they both dont have bluetooth
