yea but now i need a good quality if anyone knows a brand and model of a 16 port network switch ?
I love your rack! I'm kicking around the idea of buying just one so I don't mind looking into the specs.i wanna start with these first
ok and i would connect to each one by url and then scanner program would work ?You are not interested in the switch it will be passive you are only interested in the 16 SDS200 IP ADDRESSES.
Example
192.168.1.201 192.168.1.202 192.168.1.203 you get the idea.
It's for wireless connectivity. Several members here, including myself, use it.Ok, lets start with the vonets wifi bridge - because the specs on the SDS200 say
"Ethernet connectivity for remote streaming and control*"
I'm not seeing much use for the device.
You'd need programming software. Myself and many others here use ProScan.ok and i would connect to each one by url and then scanner program would work ?
It does get complicated and confusing. I think the missing piece is the router, it will assign the IP address to each device connected to the switch. Proscan software running on your computer will connect to the router by Ethernet or WiFi . Internet to the router should not be required provided the router is set as DHCP server, usually default. One thing to note is the IP addresses may change when rebooting. I can see this getting very confusing with so many devices with the same name. You could pull up the IP at the device or make note of the MAC and label each scanner. Most routers allow reserving the IP so it will stay the same, should be in the advanced settings. As far as other software working you would need to check and see if it supports network connections and not just USB/serial connections. Hope this helpscan i connect these all with hub to my computer and program each on separatly with any software ?
Why would you need a router? Assign an IP in each radio via the menu. Or am I missing something? It does get complicated and confusing.
