This is NOT the new GUI release.

This release addresses some minor issues reported over the last 3 months.

Most notable is EDACS decoding from a PSR-500 or PSR-600 is now enabled.

Owners of those radios are encouraged to grab the latest firmware (version 1.2) released from GRE earlier today. UniTrunker requires this latest firmware update for EDACS decoding to work.

Unitrunker download is here.

Summary of changes since last release:

EDACS wide/narrow enabled for PC/IF decoding from PSR500/600.

Volume fix for Unidens:
BCT15
BCD996T
BR330T
UBCD396T
UBCD996T

Recent testing shows volume control for the BCD396T make be broke. Use the previous version as a work around.

Bandmap editor - adjusted text for consistent spacing.
Channel editor - ditto.
Channel finder - ditto.

Call types were appearing as numeric digits instead of mnemonics - fixed.

Some incomplete progress for decoding from stereo.

Obscure bandplan inferences for Motorola.
Motorola call types more coherent:
"e" (lower case) prefix for encrypted
"E" (upper case) prefix for emergency
"D" (upper-case) for digital (Astro)

PSR500/600 profile values - display as #INF (divide by zero) - fixed.
EDACS LCN leak (more fixes are pending) - fixed.
LCN tester continuations appeared as Phone calls - fixed.

Experimental: ProVoice detector may recover radio ID (doubtful).

kNACk build is broken - no kNACk in this release (hasn't changed in 2+ years - grab it from older release).

Seems to be working fine so far here. I still have the problem of having to delete a whole bunch of blank spaces and the "0" when using the [F]ind menu.

Not to sounds like a nag, but do you have a feel for when the new GUI stuff might be going into beta?
Yeah ... like two months ago ... well, that was the plan anyways. No firm ETA right now.

Still noticing some issues that were present before.

If you go to View, then Patches the selected line is forces up to the top of the list at every update interval (I'm not sure if it a time based thing or whether it is based on when the patches are re-sent by the trunk controller)

Not a big deal, but it is a tad strange.

Again - terrific software, and keep up the great work!

Rick, I'm seeing "DAl" now for all ASTRO calls/groups on my local system. When the ASTRO users (consoles) use the ATG talkgroup, "DEm" shows up. I've seen "eAT" for one particular ASTRO group which I think was a standard emergency activation (no ATG). Regular calls on non-ASTRO talkgroups are showing up with a dash. I'm always running logs; I'll zip up some later on today and fire 'em off to you.

Also, just so you know, I tried running kNACk on a Vista machine a couple weeks ago and it would not run at all. I haven't explored that too much, but I was reminded of it when you mentioned kNACk was not in this release.

Crud. Found a missing comma. Thanks Jay - no logs needed on this one.

Older version of Unitrunker?

I installed new version of Unitrunker a couple days ago, after removing an older version that I had installed for a long time- probably a year or more. In the new version I can't find the feature that streams what looks like session information across the bottom portion of the screen (sorry, I never knew what the correct terminology was called for what I am describing).

Two questions-

1) does the new beta offer that feature (if so, how dfo I find it)?

2) If not, is there an older version available that I can obtain, that has that feature?

Thank-you very much

This is likely the Affiliations view.

From the main menu,

[V]iew -> [A]ffs

It will display non-call information - including radio log on/off and group affiliation.

VHF P25 Trunking fixes?

Rick-

How about the issues we were discussing on P25 VHF Trunking? I will set it up after lunch today and try it.

Thanks for you hard work on this project. It is a great tool for everyone.
