but I don't really notice any differences between 2.71 and older versions.
I noticed on Cap+ system they added Neighbor List.
but I don't really notice any differences between 2.71 and older versions.
I did some tests yesterday on Con+ where I live at and it shows color and site and so on but no Channel Listings for example what LCN they are still shows a ? on Control Channel
You won't see ? populate with LCN numbers until there is actual voice activity on the system. Sounds like there was no voice traffic during the time you were monitoring.
And if you did not already know this, you won't see the frequencies show up on the screen unless you've already properly edited the dsdplus.networks, dsdplus.sites, and dsdplus.frequencies files.
Mike
I've only had the dsdplus.frequencies file set long time ago. I did the networks and sites
In network and sites I did this
Network
Con+, 164, [, Powersouth Energy Cooperative]
Site
Con+, 164, 11, "Panama City"
Con+, 164, 28, "Southport"
Is this the correct way?
Con+,164,"Powersouth Energy Cooperative"
yes.
And, I'm not sure why I said it, but i was wrong -- If you want the frequencies to show up, you only have to edit the dsdplus.frequencies file. But might as well add the networks / sites while you're editing
Also, if you start monitoring a control channel, the channel window will always show ? on that channel until an actual voice call occurs on one of the control channel's timeslots.
Mike
After the upgrade, the aliases that I assigned for my NXDN talkgroups are gone.
Go into your group and radio files and add 48 or 96 to the end of NEXEDGE entries
Yeah, like I said earlier the docs need an update. My only other thought on the skips might be to cut your DSD+ reporting back to -v3 on the VC and -v2 (default) on the CC unless you need it for something.
Well, after spending some time to monitor the system, unfortunately the skipping is still present.
I uploaded one more RAW audio file from today so it can be observed. It can be found here: https://mega.nz/fm/K5UlyQ4Y
Are you using virtual audio cable or are you using FMP ti feed audio to your dsd setup?

Options:
-o<port> Output audio TCP port (256-65535)
such as -- START FMP.exe -i1 -o20001
Ok, now I'm confused! I'm using 20001 and 20002, but it's still going thru the virtual cable.
Here's my 4 bat files:
FMP-CC
FMP24 -rc -i1 -o20001 -P0.0 -f935.1875 -wsl5.5
FMP-VC
FMP24 -rv -i2 -o20002 -P55.0 -wsl240.5
CC
DSDPlus -rc -fa -v4 -i20001 -v3 -wsl483.10 -wss100.200 -wel10.1053 -wcl578.232 -wes400.850 >>CC.log
VC
DSDPlus -rv -Pmp3 -i20002 -v3 -wsl627.9 -wss100.200 -wel457.1053 -wcl480.316 -wes400.850 >>VC.log
What would I need to change to eliminate the virtual cable? Thanks!
None of what you've shown there indicates virtual cable usage. You are not using the virtual cable at all in the above environment.
Mike
You're absolutely right! I feel so stupid now! I quit using the cable several versions ago when using both the CC and VC bat files. What I do use virtual cable for is when I use Unitrunker and then port the provoice audio into DSD+. Thanks so much for putting up with my stupid questions!
What kind of system are you monitoring p25,nxdn, trbo?Well, after spending some time to monitor the system, unfortunately the skipping is still present.

Mega is overly complicated and requires a goofy login. After establishing an account, if I click on your link I still cannot access the file. Did you delete the file?
