C'mon man. It's $25.

lol
I know right even of you don't like it it's only 25 bucks. And I for one think the DMR, NXDN, and P25 audio quality is amazing. It also trunk tracks P25, DMR, and NXDN trunking superbly. I think it's worth the 25 dollar investment. Turn you laptop into digital scanner. DSDPLUS is simply a amazing piece of software.

I've finally managed to do a RAW audio record from VC, but the strange thing is that when listening to it, there is no issue. It seems that it can be only observed when you do "live" listening. I'm totally confused right now :)
Record can be downloaded from here:
TinyUpload.com - best file hosting solution, with no limits, totaly free

Interesting. That pretty much tells you that the received off-air signal is good. I would now look at what the computer is doing (or not doing) when it is decoding live vs. decoding the recording. When live, there is USB activity driving the dongles, FMP is running 2 copies, DSD+ is running one more copy, and the disk drive is working harder. Since your processor appears unloaded at 13%, my first investigation would be to look at the disk activity. A look at task manager while the skipping is occurring might be educational.

Anyhow, just throwing out ideas. I know that replacing some old drives with SSDs has done wonders for a couple of my old clunkers. That said, the drives may not have anything to do with your issue but a defrag never hurts anyway.

I already looked at the task manager and everything is looking under normal states of load. That includes disk activities also. Other than that I run it on my laptop that is given to me from my work, so putting ssd in something that's not mine is worthless. I can always take it back if I need to return it but that's not the point.
Will continue to search the issue somewhere out there :)
By now all leads to something network related, as everyone here states that they don't have such problem and yet I and others that monitor the same network do experience those issue.

I've been following a NXDN48 VHF trunk system for the past few days. It works a bit differently than any of the other NXDN trunks I've followed. One thing that there are no Aliases transmitted, but that seems to be the way the subscribers were programmed.

Another thing is that occasionally "Alias" will appear in the Pri column of the CC Activity Window. This seems to cause the TG to act as a "High" priority TG. I haven't found any documentation in the DSD+ notes about this or if it can be turned off.

Has anyone else seen this sort of thing?

I think what your seeing are private calls from radio to radio. Private calls always seem to get the priority over TGs for some reason I see it all the time on a UHF NXDN TRS in my area.

Thanks. That makes sense since DMR and MotoTrbo don't use Aliases. This particular NEXEDGE system doesn't use them either, or more accurately, they don't fill in the information. It's a strange system with rotating control channel, and it's on Part 22 paging frequencies.

I see it frequently on new NEXEDGE trunk systems/sites. The program is gathering radio aliases.

I'll have to listen more closely. That also might be the case. This system is used by special needs school vans, so private calls are a possibility. Not that I'm particularly interested in special needs school vans, but it's an odd NEXEDGE system, so it's worth figuring out.

Hello,

Since I updated to 2.71 I can no longer see the Event Log window. Any ideas where it has disappeared to?

Thank you in advance.

I had that happen yesterday... Couldn't see the event window. Turns out it just opened minimized or something like that... So look for it's icon on the task bar and just give it a click. I was good to go after that.
