Where do I find the updated library database for my radio shack pro-107?
Yes, I got that far thanks...I wanted to know how to transfer new library database of frequencies into my Iscan card..The town I live in is Rockledge in Brevard County, FL. and it seems like they changed their trunking system (800Mhz) again and Radio shack stopped updating around 2012 or before. Do I keep the Iscan software or do I erase it all and reload to either Whistler or the up to date radioreference? Thank you.Your scanner had a CD with proprietary software, however this was before the days of directly importing data from Radioreference. There should be info contained on it if you still have it

That is where I get confused with. Extracting and copy to what folder? You can download the current DB library from Whistler download site, extract and copy into the DB folder within the ISCAN PC application on your computer. Archive or delete old DB files then you can use ISCAN to update/program the scanner.
Full instructions and links in various other posts in the forums.
Which Whistler scanner download..What is capadible with the radio shack pro 107?.
OP, there are a few posts on transferring files from the RR database from Whistler, into the scanner (IF the data files are compatible). Search the forum for these posts to see if your radio takes the same RR database files that can be pasted into the files for download into the scanner using your iScan software. I have no idea if this is even possible, but I believe the iScan software site for the updates, does NOT work anymore. Good luck!

Do I delete all the old radio shack data that's on the Iscan card first?Any of the scanner downloads that have the database they are all the same. TRX or WS10XX
Under the Iscan software folder there is a folder called DB I believe. It goes in there.

I get a fatal error message after I insert the card into my scanner and turn it on..I am just going to throw this in the garbage..Too confusing since Radio Shack doesn't supply any more updates.I would rename the extension to dot old, or move it to an archive folder. Make sure the new one is working before you delete it.
Why throw it away? you may be able to get a few bills for it to put towards a newer radio if you sell it on classifieds or your online marketplace of choiceI am just going to throw this in the garbage..Too confusing since Radio Shack doesn't supply any more updates.
I agree..My Pro 107 is useless now.its a shame whistler doesnt do a update for them there auwsome recievers for analog
It is not useless if you can follow directions on how to manually update the library data and want to listen to analog only.I agree..My Pro 107 is useless now.
Right now I am getting a fatal error memo on the scanner itself..Just wondering if the scan card is corrupt. It is not useless if you can follow directions on how to manually update the library data and want to listen to analog only.
You can obtain an updated library using the Whistler Handheld PC app for the ws1080, then transfer the DB files to your non supported iscan pc app.
Download and install ezscan for the WS1080 From whistlergroup.com Then run a library update.
Then on your PC go to My Document > Whistler 1080 Digital > DB and copy the contents of this folder.
Replace the files in your Pro-107 Digital DB folder with the files copied from the Whistler 1080 digital DB folder. Launch your RadioShack Iscan pc app and you will have the latest Library.
in iscan, under sdcard at the upper left, select prepare card..this will format and reload the library and configuration data.Right now I am getting a fatal error memo on the scanner itself..Just wondering if the scan card is corrupt.
I'll try that step by step...Thank you.It is not useless if you can follow directions on how to manually update the library data and want to listen to analog only.

When I am on the whistler download page, do I download just the Library_db files? There are 5 or 6 other files for the ws1080. My iscan card has just been configured from the Radio Shack Iscan download page. Do I have to download the Whistler scanner driver too? or just the Library files from Whistler?in iscan, under sdcard at the upper left, select prepare card..this will format and reload the library and configuration data.
