SDS100/SDS200: Upgrade Key Entering Problems

I purchased a preowned SDS100 from a ham radio dealer last year some time. I decided to upgrade to DMR and paid for and got the key from Uniden. When I go to the rig and Settings>upgrade>DMR/MotoTRBO I get a blank screen.. None of the number keys work. The soft keys below the screen move the cursor right and left and the "scan" softkey sends it back to scan. None of the upgrade key entry screens allow any digits to be entered. Any Help????

I believe you use the scroll wheel to change the digits.

You don’t use the keypad, use the volume knob to rotate through the digits, then the arrow soft keys to advance through the fields.

You shouldn't. Probably 90% of newbies with the SDS series have gone through the same stuff.
