Come on guy's, Upman is doing the best he can. Uniden has put out good products as well as the former GRE. Whistler will keep competitive also. The only killer of these companies producing scanners is encryption, and it is coming to your neighborhood quicker than a trailer park.

Nope SEPT means I'll have another birthday!
I highly doubt UPMan is just messing with us. As the face of Uniden here on RR, he has enough people mad at him and the company. Why in the world would he "mess with us" and just make things worse?
I'm sure something is coming in September; we'll have 30 days of anticipation to see what it is, and if it's worthwhile.
However, can you imagine the howling and the calls for his head (or any head) if nothing shows up by September 30th? The villagers will have torches and pitchforks and will run roughshod over the countryside in the hunt for any Uniden representative.

I would like to think that SEPT means something in the works in the way of analyze/Wi-Fi.
But as a betting man, my money is on SEPT means "National Preparedness Month" and nothing more.
On the other hand, I'll be glad to lose that bet if indeed it is the kind of news we have been waiting for.
In the meantime, still enjoying the other features of the 536HP/436HP.

I go to the Uniden site and see ALL of the scanners out of stock? So? What is that? "Being prepared is a good subject" I find myself with a Go-Bag pack, I have many of the survival items, but they are spread out over my home. I have yet to pack everything up just to see how that goes. I know a Go-Bag is to be ready to GO.
