Upper Darby VHF Ops isn't dead yet. 154.325 is back up again. I just heard it a moment ago. Whoever changed it in the database meant well but jumped the gun. That should be changed back.

One of the UDFD companies are using the old Company 33 fire tone. Not sure which company yet though. I think it's 37.

So is this the case? What are those old 33 tones?

Update to the update: 26 is using the old 33 tones. The old 26 tones are reserved for Medic 06. They were the exact same tone but it didn't matter since they were on two different channels. Now that they're on the same channel, 26's tones had to be changed.

Didn't think that would be a real issue since Medic 06 is no more - unless the county is saving it should 06 decide to go back to being an ALS transport unit.

I have that app. It's a decent app, but it also false ID's tones and doesn't catch others. I'll set up an alert on those tones you mentioned and see if they alert for 26.

Yeah and I'm not sure that set of tones is correct now. Since programming them in, I thought I heard a call for 26 where it didn't alert. Not sure yet. I did get 103 ALS tones on the same call on the iPad app; I don't really care for monitoring for ALS but it tells me it did decode one set of tones correctly.

Hi everyone. I recently made the move back into Drexel Hill, and I was wondering if it was possible for a civilian to get text alerts for station 20 calls. Even if it's a pay service, I think it's a good idea to have. Also where can I find the house siren codes? I've tried searching but I couldn't find a reputable answer.

PDW is the software you'll need. You also will need an audio cable hooked into your computer to feed the 154.205 POCSAG channel from your scanner for the software to decode it. I don't have the link on me but you can find PDW (free software) in the Wiki here or you can also Google it. I haven't had much luck with it on my units (haven't tried the 668 yet) but an older non trunked scanner might work best for it.

You need a descriminator tap for it to work properly. Most scanners do not come with one without modification but the PSR-800 and it's Whistler and Radio Shack rebranded counterparts likely have it. I've used the descriminator output on my PSR-800 with pleasing results. It's what I use to sniff out DMR and NXDN users :)
