Monitoring a new federal TG 60809 with Radio IDs not previously recorded in the Wiki (2915221, 2915292) all traffic encrypted. Heard on the NCSHP Training Center tower.

Anyone want to take a guess on this one?

All comms I recieved on this TG were ENC too. Users that I have logged on this TG also used Federal Common TG if that helps?

Not much, but I really appreciate the response. Here in Raleigh I've never heard any thing on the Federal Common TG so you are one up on me.

What in Wake - Raleigh changed?

For Christmas I will travel back to my old home in Raleigh, NC, from California MD. I tried to listen to my old stomping ground last night on the Broadcastify app on cell phone. I heard only EMS to Hospital feeds. No EMS or Fire dispatch or Fireground activity at all. This is Raleigh/Wake County which is 20 times more active then where I currently live!

I went into my RR account and found that there has been a change to Raleigh and/or Wake County this past week. Anyone have details?

Did Fire and EMS get encrypted? Doesn't show it!

I was looking forward to traveling as I do in GPS mode with my SDS100. So, I seek help!

Please PM me if Raleigh City/Wake County (Primarily Fire) is your playground!

Thanks all!

Hey Bob,
A gentle reminder that just because radio traffic is not carried on a feed does not mean it is encrypted.
Raleigh/Wake Fire/EMS is still in the clear on the Wake Radio System. You should have no problem monitoring them on a scanner while in the Triangle area.
Happy Monitoring!

Ya know, as I program stuff for the Hap Mtn site, you guys have alot more enforcement groups than TN. I have NOT seen an ICE agency set of TG's for my state. Do they still make you stick your ID in the lottery machines? Good luck enforcing that here   We can learn alot from you over dere cross dem mountains lol....

That is good news Marshall and thanks! Do you happen to know why I can not currently hear Raleigh, Wake, Cary on Broadcastify? I do look foward in hearing Raleigh, Wake, Cary & Durham as I get nearer with my SDS!

Again Thanks Marshell!

Wake had some problems yesterday on bcastify. not sure what happened. I noticed some dead air as well on multiple feeds.

Cary is working just fine. I dont listen to Durham so cant comment on it. I do listen to Joco (live there) and its working fine as well.

https://broadcastify.zendesk.com/hc...-was-a-scanner-feed-removed-?mobile_site=true

All of the scanner feeds on Broadcastify.com are provided by volunteers, each one using their own computer and scanner radio.

If a scanner feed goes offline (meaning we stopped receiving audio from the person that volunteered to provide it) and it remains offline for 3 weeks it's automatically removed from the directory. *This can happen if someone decides to stop providing the audio for a feed or if they're no longer able to do so (they could have moved out of the area, their computer/scanner radio died, etc).

Broadcastify feeds are indeed volunteer provided and there is no guarantee that any agency or area will be available.
This is why having a scanner for local comms is always the best option.

Black Mountain P.D. (Bunc.) migration

I can confirm with addresses dispatched, voice communications and radio I.D.'s that the Black Mountain Police Department has switched to V.I.P.E.R. The two Talk Groups identified are 6040 and 6043. The radio i.d.'s consist of 2112**. 6040 is the main dispatch, 6043 is a secondary channel. The were received on the Meadows Mountain site. I will submit it shortly.

Black Mountain

Happy to have some input now. I started a new set up last night. I obtained a 2nd 536HP, so I can use those two for an overload of custom searches. Since the Whistler is not manufactured toward limit/custom searches, I am dedicating it to completing a V.I.P.E.R wildcard search for unknown i.d.'s as it's main function. So far this works well... I like it.

What TG's are being utilized for the snowstorm? So far I've heard the following:

Events Bravo 3-NC National Guard trucks
Events Foxtrot 1-Contract plows & DOT in Surry County
