I'll go back to remove the NACs. They were blank when I started. I'll need figure another way to get the individual NAC site information before I put them back in. It won't affect anything since they have been blank anyway.
SDR dongle, DSD+ FL and a laptop is a great way to see the site NAC

I might try a sdr dongle. I just bought $3400 in replacement scanners in the last 2 months. It's gonna have to wait. But I was playing with my Bcd-325P2 I just received the other day. I just put the controller frequency for a close by site, and put it in manually as a digital only frequency in NAC search mode, and it comes up with 1F6 so I think I have figured it out.

ok, I have corrected 14 VIPER site NACs (and removed the system NAC 1FC). I was able to read the 14 sites from using my BCD-325P2 and my outside antenna and preamp and read the individual site controller NACs.

Camden County Sheriff is confirmed TDMA. They have been that way over a week now. All other agencies in Camden and Pasq counties are still FDMA. NCHP is mixed in this area. They seem to be switching back and forth.

Once again it is called DDM.....here is a pdf that describes it.
And yes many VIPER TGs are set up to use DDM for the time being.

Is there a way to find out which other sites are associated with my county. I'm in Caldwell county and usually listening on the Hibriten Mt site and sometimes High Peak Mt site in Burke county. Thanks

Looking in the database you can see the sites in or next to your county, then monitor them and see what you hear on each. This is the best way, because getting advice from someone else, even if they are in your county, might be incorrect based on your location and theirs.

Eventually when all the radios get programmed properly everything will end up P25 phase 2 on VIPER. If you still have a few phase 1 only scanners sitting around, enjoy using them to sit on several favorite talkgroups in the meantime.

A $50 SDR Dongle and SDR-Trunk (free) has turned my computer into an amazing scanner, handling Viper P25 Phase 1 and Phase 2, FDMA and TDMA perfectly. The author of SDR-Trunk is from NC I believe as well!

Thomasville, NC Fire has appeared to move off of Guilford County's system and is now being dispatched on the Davidson County Fire Dispatch Group on VIPER.

Also Check the Davidson County Event Channels on Viper an unknown police department is operating on one of those talk groups.

I've been monitoring VIPER for many years on my 996XT. Also, Charlotte UASI on my SDS200. Today I updated the SDS200 with VIPER sites Charlotte, Huntersville, Heathway, and Pineville. I will report there are some sites and talkgroups already using P25 P2 heard in the Charlotte area.

In addition, a number of Davidson County fire departments are getting their pagers reprogrammed.

Is there a change to their radio system coming? Or are talk groups being changed, added or deleted?
