Im looking for freqs for VRTA aka Loudoun Transit. They operate public buses in Fauquier, Loudoun and Culpeper Counties. They are based in Purcellville in Loudoun County. If anyone knows
any freqs they use please pass them along. Thanks.

I think he is refering to a seperate agency. However they may be operated by WMATA because WMATA does have contracts with other agencies in the area so checking that system would be a good start. If not they may be nextel. I know PTRC buses down in Prince William use Nextel which cant be monitored with a scanner.

VRTA is opearted by itself and not by another computer. They use 2 way radio so the nextel thing is out. the antenna they have on the buses looks like somewhere in the 400mhz range.

If they are 400 Mhz range then try the following Loudoun County Licenses:
453.325
488.6875
488.9375
489.1875
If its not on the above try a search in either the 494-496 Mhz range or the 453Mhz range. Many major transit agencies have systems in those ranges. They could be on a LTR system but I have no idea. I will try to see I can find anything better but see if these help any.

I was monitoring 490.2875 this morning, and heard VRTA on 1-03-120. Fairly busy. By the way, thanks to the person who submitted the complete channel order for this LTR system.
