What are people using to display log data other than using a text viewer (i.e. notepad) and wading through miles of data.
NOTE: Ideally for Windows.
One of the logs created by the SDR# Frequency Scanner plug-in, shows hits for a frequency which is OK to determine activity on a frequency but I'm looking for sometime to determine when this activity is occurring during the course of day (00:00-23:59) at a glance.
Two ways I've come across which look like ways in which I'd like to see the data represented are:
Spreadsheets seem limited and tend to create gaps in the plot and are fiddly to create.
The heatmaps also create gaps in the plot and are generally massive images and work using only using sampled power levels.
Here is a rough program I created showing how I think I'd like to see it.
I used a log created by the SDR# Frequency Scanner plug-in for this example. (logs frequency and time and duration among other things)
I thought I'd ask the question to see if a program exists for this task before I invest more time in this program (shown above) just in case I'm reinventing the wheel here.

- Scatter plot in a spreadsheet
- Heatmap (image)
