want just CMPD,but keep getting everyone else

hi,I added all of the south feqs,and talk groups IDs into my BC785D but when I scroll through the channels some come up as 0000.0000 with the alpha tag of the TGs ID.Will my scanner still pick up the call?I am not used to all the new features of this scanner,my old one was a BC700A.With all those freqs I get alot of school buses,fire, etc. Is there any way to just scan for PD? Thanks for any help ED

both of my trunking scanners Pro96 and bc246 have search functions as well as scan functions. You should be able to put it in talkgroup scan mode instead of talkgroup search mode.

Ed -

Something doesn't sound correct in your programming.

If you try to scroll through the talkgroups of a trunked system while in either "scan" or "manual," you would not see 000.0000 for the frequency.

If the programming is correct, the display will indicate the frequency of the control channel, which would almost always be 858.4875 or 857.9875 MHz.

Are you using software to program your scanner ?
