My vote goes to the Sangean CL-100. Disable/enable/add alerts, setting counties to alert for, and GREAT reception. The WR120 is also really good. Good user interface, as well as most of the Sangean's qualities save the reception
In preparation for my 2019 rv journey up to Alaska I wanted a radio with independent power for emergency backup, mainly for weather alerts, AM/FM, and shortwave broadcast and I settled on the Kaito Voyager Max KA900 portable. I was greatly impressed with this radio as it has several power options including solar, hand crank, computer usb, and ac adapter. Tough little radio and easy to grab if on the go. I attached a reel up shortwave wire for the shortwave and very pleased with broadcast reception. Onboard antenna was meh so so but the wire strung up from my awning to a nearby tree worked great, was able to hear BBC and a few others. Weather functions were very good as well. Zeroed in on local NOAA nice and clear. Built-in digital equalizer is awesome and lets you customize the audio to your liking. Sound is fantastic for the size. Not a bad little weather/survival radio for under $100. Check it out!
