I live in Benton County and use a BCD996t. Besides Benton County, which neighboring county should I also monitor? Thanks in advance.

What is your city or town? Looks like most everything in Benton County has gone to P25 Phase 2 which the BCD996T cannot decode.

FWIW neighboring Washington County has mode "D" (FDMA) talkgroups which the OP should be able to bring in with a BCD996T with exception of mode "DE" which are fully encrypted. Carroll County Sheriff is FDMA as well on the same system

Generally, I suggest also monitoring Washington County entities. Benton and Washington County police and fire often offer mutual aid and cross county lines in pursuits, etc., especially with I-49 traversing both counties. As mentioned above, it depends on what systems (P25 Phase 2, etc.) your scanner will receive/decode. I don’t often hear other neighboring counties in AR or OK doing much together. But depending on your location, you might hear Madison or Delaware counties.
