$699.95? Ouch!! o_O

Hopefully that's an MSRP and that dealers will be selling it for less.

Would like to get one, but at that price it ain't gonna happen.

I was just informed that the price will be $499.95, shipping in June 2015 at the HAM Station. I think shipping from Jeff is like $15 additional

That price would definitely fit my budget.

I agree. After the past year with a flurry of scanner releases, I think this one will be the last new scanner release for a while.

Looking forward to getting this machine. Love the 800 and this one I can set up as a base with something more than a portable antenna.

Pre-ordered the 1095 from Jeff at Ham Station for $499 yesterday. My wife said, "another scanner"?
I said, "yes." She knows me too well after almost 40 years.

You do know the Phase 2 decode is not even fair on the GRE,radio shack and Whistler due to the fact the firmware is beta.Phase 1 it does a great job!

The phase 2 firmware is not beta... the psr-800 1.7 was beta.. the 1.8 was the full version.

Whistler I believe is into 2+

That's amusing, the "beta" phase 2 decode on my Pro-668 is the only reason I have it, as it decodes P2 better on a system in my area better than any of the Uniden scanners I own.

Looks like the 652 in my shack will be pulled soon to be replaced by a 1095 :)

Which P2 system. RICS or CWIRS? I would like to program it in my WS-1080 and try it out. I receive both well here in Cerritos Thank you.

It's not Beta, but even if it was, it DOES decode p1 or p2 clearer, cleaner, and just plain better than any uniden radio made to this point. I know because I have most of them. Looking forward to the 1095.

Steve,

RICS, but upon review I believe it has more to do with with my location and the sensitivity of the 668 (CWIRS booms here). I'm at the top of OC (Yorba Linda), my 436 seems to do just fine when I am north of the 605 on business.
