Anyone know what frequencies are in use for whenever there’s a wildfire? There’s an active fire right now in Utah Valley, and is like to monitor the progress of their efforts.

I found 127.4750, which seems to be the air coordinator “Air Tac” channel.

Thanks!

I’ve also discovered quite a bit of tactical air fire activity this afternoon on the Battle Creek Fire on 122.9250.

I used Sentinel to create a mega Favorites List with every possible fire freq or talkgroup. I always felt Like I was missing radio traffic for big fires, and now I know I was. This is what it looks like in Sentinel:

there are several TFR’s in place for Utah for fire fighting, these are air attack frequencies for the specific fires, listen to these for more air to air , and air to ground frequencies.

Brett, thanks for sharing your approach. I also created a "mega fire" list similar to the one above. I noticed that it did have a lot of duplicates (both individual frequency duplicates across agencies and within agencies with distinct tones, etc.). I manually cleaned up the duplicates (with the help of duplicate finding tools in FreeSCAN), and in most cases just left the frequencies without tones (to monitor a wider range of agencies).
