I just got a pro 106, downloaded win 500 updated the FTDI driver for my radio shack programming cable # 20-047. I make it far as fileSys-clone waiting start. Then the only option I see is cancel. If I click download from scanner all I get is timed out waiting for 67452 data bytes received 0. If I try to upload it tells me no response from scanner.

What steps are you following when you try to download from the scanner?

Here's what you should be doing:
1. Plug 20-047 cable into USB port on computer and PC/IF jack on scanner
2. Turn scanner on
3. In Win500, select "Download from Scanner" on the "Scanner" menu

The red and green LEDs on the 20-047 cable should flash briefly, then the green LED should be on steadily as the scanner sends data.
