Hey guys,

So I've been trying to do this the past couple days for a friend and I'm at my whits end (and might start to resort to ripping out hair). I'm use to win500 program and personally I love it compared to the win96 but since pro96 doesn't play well with win500 then here I am. I have downloaded (via the web import system) all the frequencies that I want to use, however when I program it all it gives me a read out of "site00x chx" and it's starting to drive me up the wall. On the newer RS digital scanners it shows the name and such when it locks in on some one talking. I'm sure it can be done with this software and scanner too but I'm stumped on what I'm missing. All the "alpha tags" under the bank/freq list say the site# and ch# so I'm sure that's why I see that on the scanner. Is there any way I can import a list of "names" to those freq so to avoid typing them all in by hand? I'm sorry if this is a noob question or a very detailed question, but I can't figure this out at all. Here's a screen shot of what the channel listings looks like if my description was a little lacking. Thank you guys for any tips on where I'm going wrong.

Mike

haven't received anything yet, but the scanner program seams to look right.
Press MAN, if noise is heard, bottom line on display should read 96: 140 %##. If no noise is heard, navigate ▲ or ▼ slowly through channels 00, 01, 03, 04, 06, & 07. Channels 02 and 05 have no frequencies.

96=9600 CC system.
140=System ID
%##=decode rate of active control freq.

Lower rate=further distance from tower. Anything below 50% will be difficult to receive. An external antenna may be required for low decode rate.
