More traffic on TG 141 today. Wausau Post calls units with "10-75" which I am guessing means radio check, because they answer "10-2".

I also heard 2 Troopers from FDL post on TG139. It sounded like they refered to this channel as "Any Car" but it was probably "NE Car".

I also heard an ambulance calling out at a hospital on TG 57774 off of the Chilton tower. I'm guessing this is Lifestar Ambulance since they use TG 57774 on the Washington County system.

State Patrol uses 10-75 as a "status check" call for units that haven't called post recently.

Lifestar seems to be making good use of WISCOM, I've heard them in Madison a few times as well.

State Techs have been testing in the North Central region for the impending rollover by those posts.

I caught 4617 on Baraboo site and 4625 on Blue Mounds sites several times today. I'm not sure who it was but I'm guessing with the 46 prefix that it would be Ozaukee CO related. I heard stuff like "is this supposed to be channel 3" type of chatter.

I think that those are Hospital Base radios, our local hospital has received a base radio that is on the WISCOM system. The radios are for hospital to hospital communications on the system. I know they have statewide hospital channels and regional hospital channels, along with private call per hospital.

I recently started hearing TG40091 off the Langlade County Kent tower site. This appears to be the Menominee Regional Public Transit buses. Also have noticed a new type of antenna installed on their buses.
Showing up as TG40092 now also. These make for such riveting listening...
male voice with a mouthful of food: " I'm here to pick up So And So, but he says he doesn't have the money."
screeching female voice: " I told him he needed to have the money when you picked him up!!!"

most of the county scan to groups are going to be active in the system now due to the State Patrol being moved over to the system.

The talkgroup is in the database. If you are using a favorites list on the scanner the talkgroup will show up as unknown if it is not in the list.

Hmm...I do see it is in the DB. I just copied the entire WISCOM system across into Favorites yesterday. That's weird it didn't bring the Burnett Scan across...it brought Burnett Common across though. Other scans show up just fine. Ah well.

I rigged up a homemade antenna to try to pick up Wisconsin towers. I have strong signals from both the Clear Lake and Boulder Junction towers.....but no transmissions of any kind. Anyone have a suggestion?

I'm in Ishpeming near Marquette, Michigan and hearing lots of normal 800 mhz traffic on 8 towers in Michigan on our P25 system.

You might not hear much at all. If an agency isn't on WISCOM (not many are on it for day to day stuff), the only traffic you'll hear is the County Scan groups.

I'm not familiar with terminology associated with the Wisconsin P25 system. What did you mean by "County Scan groups"?
