I think that the Winnebago DHS system is being relocated to the Chilton tower to become an 800 MHz WISCOM site, per the license for callsign: WQUQ684. This license is for the same frequencies that make up the current Winnebago DHS site.
Washburn Scan started showing up around 4PM yesterday and I just heard it a few minutes ago. First time in a long time I"ve heard it.
Ashland started about then too.
Douglas Hwy was using the system for operations this morning. They along with Forestry will be using the system as a test prior to other entities in the County moving over.
Hey this is groovy news. Looks like by the time i`m back up there in NW WI in june i can start listening to `em on WISCOM full-time, should be much easier to monitor stuff like highways & PD/fire. Any ideas as to when the rest will make the jump to the system? N9NRA
