All I can add is Eau Claire Post no longer rebroadcasting VHF on TG 154 for at least two weeks now. I thought I read where county scan TG's weren't going to active however in the NW region they have been for several weeks now.

The two new Dunn County sites (Rock Falls and Menomonie) show TG 17010 and every once in awhile I have seen TG 17001. DUSO is still on VHF and haven't totally switched. I will submit these to DB admin soon unless they get picked up of this message.

I talked with a communications supervisor of a Waukesha County PSAP and he told me that the Waukesha County P25 system was suppose to be up and running by last fall but due to issues getting the 2 additional tower sites (Vernon and Lisbon) built and up and running it will be more likely more towards the end of this year before users start migrating to the new system. It doesn't even have licensed frequencies yet so its still a waiting game and the system will be Phase 1 with the possibility of going phase 2 in the future and it will be interoperable with WISCOM and for Milwaukee County I have no clue on where they are at with there side of the system since Waukesha and Milwaukee County will have a joint system I know Milwaukee Co decided on a phase approach due to cost and budget

I wonder how long the time frame to phase 2 would be. I'd imagine a few years yet. I'm leaning towards the BCD996XT but it doesn't support phase 2.

falcon21 I talked with someone familiar with the current project and it will be a while down the road he didn't say exact time frame they are looking at implementing P25 Phase 2 but it will be years away before P25 phase 2 TDMA is used due to having to accuire more tower sites in order to implement P25 phase 2 for the same coverage that P25 Phase 1 FDMA is going to have and I should have reclaified the Milwaukee sytem will be phased in over a few years and now with LTE networks growing I think the future will be a phone like device that officers will have that is ruggedized and will be talking via dispatch and to others and will be able to give them real time info on calls and other information but who knows just my insight on things

Site nac codes

How would I find the "nac" codes for the sites that list them as "na". on the wiscom system?

You can program a couple of frequencies in as conventional non trunked from a close WISCOM site and set the frequencies as digital P25. My Uniden 996XT then has a search for PL/DPL/NAC under the audio type. When there is traffic on one of the frquencies the NAC will be displayed.

Heard two units with State IDs talking on TG 77 off of Lampson yesterday. That is not in the DB but should be a Statewide Interoperability Talkgroup of some sort.

86XX TG's are listed as "Inter-State", so it is probably a link to some agency in Minneosta.

Maybe one of the fabled "WISMN" cross border talkgroups. The plan as explained to me was to have, I believe, eight talkgroups called WISMN1 through WISMN8. WISMN1-4 would be used south, and we would get 5-8 up here for cross border/system interop. There would then be equivalent talkgroups on ARMER with the same names. With the magic of ISSI they may even be the same TGIDs.

Saber6, did you note which radio IDs were in use? First two digits would be helpful.

I don't recall seeing this before, but the list of allowed subscriber radios has been updated with the radios certified as of December 2014, here.

Major changes that I see are the addition of the new EFJ Viking series, including the dual band VP900, and the note referencing no new Kenwoods on the system until the issues are resolved.

The Washburn County Drug Unit's investigation into illegal drug activity in Washburn resulted in a search warrant yesterday at N224 Brill Road, Township of Birchwood.
The Washburn County Special Response Team, Barron County Sheriff's Office, Sawyer County Sheriff's Office and agents from the Division of Criminal Investigation WI Dept. of Justice conducted the search warrant on this residence at approximately 4 PM yesterday. The search warrant was completed without incident. The deputies and officers involved performed well and their professionalism and training shown through as the warrant was served, arrests were made, evidence was obtained and all without injury to any party.
Three individuals were arrested and charge with the possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine. Chrystal Webb, Reuben Tiegs and Michael Jolly. Over 40 Grams of meth was taken as evidence along with a substantial amount of cash.
Meth continues to be a blight on society in this county, Northwest WI and the nation. We will spare no effort to bring those to justice that posses, use, manufacture or deliver controlled substances in our community.

Interesting conversation on WSP EC Post VHF a bit ago. post called to Air1 asking where comms regarding air detail today were to be held. Air1 advised on NW1 on WISCOM.

So they are using WISCOM for some communications.

Looks like City of Oak Creek will chose the Milwaukee County / Waukesha County Digital Radio System, and not Join WISCOM. Anyone know if the WISCOM tower will still go up in Oak Creek?

Heard a brief key up but no audio on 23526? Or 23826 off of the Hillsdale Tower last night.
