Troop2 of WVSP is using TG 9005 a lot tonight. they must have completed the installation of the dispatch in Charles Town this week.

I think the TG will be used by troopers in the area as well as dispatch from Romney and Charles Town.

Mike,
I heard the tec talking this morning, he was talking off the Troop 2 tower to someone else on the radio, from what I could understand it was ready, they where trying to figure out what and where to do with the older stuff, they also had some camera's for the cars as well.

It's official: The WV Interoperable Radio Project has arrived at a big-city milestone. I went to program my BCD-996T today, and received the following error:

==========
Error: Too many TGID (251) in system "WV/IOP System"
1 system(s) excluded from configuration because of error.
==========

I love many features of the 996, and I appreciate how good the company has been at incorporating user requests into radios, but I have to say that Uniden really blew this, thinking a trunked system only needed 250 talkgroups. It makes me wonder if any of them actually use their own radios. So now I get to either (1) exclude some talkgroups as less interesting, or (2) break the system into "North" and "South". So much for statewide coverage.

Anyone ever see at TG 36661? I see it from time to time and when I do I usually see it flash up on the other tower I can get, never hear traffic but most times I will her the TEC start talking shortly after like if it was a page. They are nother TG in that area I see do that as well and they all go to a freq. in the 770 Mhz band when they take place.

I just got a control channel on the Kearneysville site. 453.4125. Showing up as T0117 tho. This is as of 2100hrs this date 10/11/2007. I'm in Ranson, getting about an avg. 58% decode rate on the Pro-2096. Hopefully, this means the new Jefferson County site is alive.

I am glad to see your post. Just co-incindentally this site did not appear to be alive earlier this evening. I had it plugged in and tried it then. I am getting a 60% to 70% as of right now. I have been scanning it all evening with no result yet. Thanks for your post.

I'm getting a good signal in Berkeley Co. too. ID of 0170h-0123

it says "Harrison Co." just like the Berkeley tower does...

I was wondering what was up when I picked up a control channel on 453.4125 when doing the preprogrammed public safety search just now. Now I can listen to the WV TRS from Loudoun County. 5 of 5 bars with my amp turned on. :)

Yeah, I've had that tower's frequencies programmed in for at least 10 months now, and I heard the CC come alive just after 2100 hrs. I just happened to be home and next to the scanner when it came on, and lo and behold there it was. I was quite happy.

Don't put all of your chips on that bet. Yes the 1500's are Jefferson County but 1551 is not Sheriff's Department.

I believe 1900 was the unit I heard doing the testing earlier on 1551. He was at a fire station, I think he may have said the Friendship station. The woman he was talking mentioned the background noise when asked how she heard him, just the fire equipment.

From what I understand from a few people that know what they are talking about, the new Blue Ridge / Jefferson Tower will be operational by the end of this week, and the post about 1900 testing was correct I heard him on the Fire Channel 153.860.

We just have to wait for the construction to be completed at the new communications center then we will be able to use the entire new 400 trunked system, probably sometime in early 2008.
