Tg9027

Hearing traffic on TG9027. Sounds like WVSP Troop2 Car-Car. I think they are in Jefferson Co. on RT9 Bypass. They picked out one car, pulled it over, one person in the car was IDed and the other "unit" said "Yeah, that's him, grab him."

RIDs as of this morning at 7AM are:
095114, 095115, 095116, 097055

I just caught TG9305 calling DOT twice on Kopperston. Also I'm using 396 with the updates in it. With only 1 or 2 bars I'm getting error rate less then 20 everything sounds good. Also noted I'm not using my amp today.

That DOT supervisor is a riot. I see him driving around town in a state-issued white Durangomobile that has more antennas than my truck does. Quite the mobile EOC he's got going there. During the drill today, I flipped an HT on at work and heard some of the highways guys saying they were going to be a few extra minutes getting to an assignment because of [ironically] a construction zone, when he came on -- siren blaring in the background -- and said, "Get behind me everybody; I'll show you how to get through traffic!" Giddyup, cowboy. A siren on a highways truck? And during a drill, no less? Yikes. The DC Western Migration money cup runneth over.

</SOAPBOX>

AFAIK:

09301 = WV DOT/DOH 1
09303 = WV DOT/DOH 2
09305 = WV DOT/DOH 3
09307 = WV DOT/DOH 4
09309 = WV DOT/DOH 5

I've also heard 09302 and 09304, but don't know their assignments.

Generally, 00-09-9-nnn RIDs are DOH radios.

I'll try to get together all the RIDs from UniTrunker tonight when I get home.

Listening to the audio on Channel 3, I heard someone say "go to channel 6 so you can talk to all of us." If channel six falls in line, it would be 09311.

I got the supervisor with the sirens going :) see attached

well, I would have attached the audio but now there is a stupid quota on attachments. I went back 2 years and deleted stuff but not enough. This is so silly.

My guess is that he meant VHF lo channel 6. My WV DOH notes are old, but I'd guess 47.360?

If anyone wants the audio I recorded of the drill on the WVIRP, Jefferson and Berkeley sites, please PM me.

See my PM. If you glean specific RID->user assignments from the audio, shoot 'em down.

Heard some testing on TG 5935, 5939, 5941, 5927. Other then the test test or 1, 2 3. I heard tech calling Wyoming, and Mercer Co. on them.

Also 5403 I think is Princeton Fire Dept. in Mercer Co. Can anyone confirm it? I'm picking up calls and the 8am roll call as well.

Your guess on 05403 fits the pattern. We have seen that 0cc03 TGs tend to be the largest muni FD in county cc. I think that the 059nn TGs are Region-6 (the coalfield counties) region-wide TGs; I don't know what specific assignments 0rr27, 35, 39, or 41 are, though.

I have my BCD996T programmed using the following Jefferson County frequencies and talk groups and I never hear anything. I used ARC996 to program the system into the scanner. Is the Jefferson County system actually being used because I never hear a thing. The singal strength indicator on the LCD display shows full strength. I know there is nothing wrong with the scanner/software as I can use ARC996 to program the info for Berkley County and I can receive their system just fine. Just checking incase it is a "User Error" issue! :)

Freqs:

453.41250
460.08750
460.18750
460.31250

Talk Groups:

9005 - State Police Dispatch
1507 - Sheriff Car-to-Car
1529 - Charles Town Police
1535 - Charles Town Police

I re-programmed mine the other night and had the same issue. For some reason, ARC996 put each site in as something other than MotorolaAPCO25. Go to the General tab on each site and set it to Motorola APCO25 then resend it and overwrite the one on the scanner. Also, you may want to set it to "search" so you can catch all the new TGs you don't have programmed in. For WVSP you may want to add the Berkeley Site and all Berkeley Co. TGs then lockout all of them if you don't want to hear Berkeley Co.

97039 is a State Police RID. [Also, 43001 is probably supposed to be 430001.]

If you can, grab a RID for a Logan County unit. That's one I don't have a county code for. I'm guessing 044. That'd make 04451 probably "Logan County OES". I have heard from 33 of 55 counties, but only have associated county codes with 12 of them.

Thanks Mike!! You were correct!!! ARC996 configured the site as Motorola Type 2 UHF instead of APCO25. I'm reconfiguring it now so I should be all set...thanks again! :)
