I have not gotten the chance to drive US 50 to see if the Montgomery Hill tower is active or not. I will post as soon as I can.

Jeffeson Co. Site #1 - TG1501

Heard a lot of testing today on TG 1501 on the Jefferson Co. site #1. They had Jefferson Co. Fire/EMS patched to it. So, I think its going to follow the pattern and be Fire/EMS Dispatch.

Also had a little testing on TG1507, which is most likely going to be Jefferson Co. Sheriff's Office. I wonder how they are going to assign the PD TGs for all the little towns in the county.

Hey Mike! I was listening to the same thing earlier today on 1501. The audio quality was not too clear, but I guess that was because it was patched through.

sounded like they had an analog radio and doing cross-band repeat. I think it was just for testing. I think on the Berkeley Co EMS/Fire dispatch TG, there are no paging tones.

I noticed they now have frequencies listed for Mingo County (HorsePen Mtn.)

I've got them pluged into my 396, if I hear anything, will post it on here.

Not hearing anything on them yet.

Hi Mike,

Yes, I have a system setup to "search" that site, but I have not heard anything yet. Not even a control channel.

I'm also have a custom search setup.

Been monitoring the last four days.

However, I can hear Logan's control channel from where I'm at, but I have to open squelch.

keep monitoring, it was a little exciting and pretty cool when the Berkeley site was being tested before it went live.

Jefferson Co TGs

1501 - Fire/EMS Dispatch (Simulcast with Fire 1)
1507 - using for a fireworks event in Jefferson Co. today/tonight
1509 - heard more testing today

all RIDs are in the 150xxx and 151xxx range.

1507 and 1509 are on both the Jefferson and Berkeley sites. So far, the second Jefferson site is not live.

I didn't think Unitrunker would work with the BCD396T?

If it does, tell me how, please.

You're right, not without soldering on it at least. If you've got a clunker scanner laying around, tap the discriminator; I was using a PRO-2004 (!) through the sound card, and it worked fine with a good signal.

Hi wm8s,

Are telling me the scanner does not have to have Trunk capable to use Unitracker?

If that's the case, I have a older relistic scanner I can use.

Thank You
Eddie

Correct. It doesn't even need to have squelch, for that matter. You're feeding audio from the discriminator straight to the computer. So no need for anything past the discriminator (i.e., no need for demodulation, much less anything higher level like trunk tracking, squelch, or any other fancy stuff).
