Hi wm8s,

Are telling me the scanner does not have to have Trunk capable to use Unitracker?

If that's the case, I have a older relistic scanner I can use.

Thank You
Eddie

I'm using an old PRO-2026 with a cheap antenna; works great. search the forums and the RR wiki for details on how to do. it required a little soldering, but not too much.

The Kearneysville 2 site listed in the database is not a trunked frequency. The application says FB2. This isn't another trunked site in Jefferson. You should check your resources.

I was going off the RR DB. Maybe you should submit a change to the RR DB since you are apparently on top of everything. I'm not an admin of the RRR DB and I was not the one that submitted the info.

Looking back at your past posts, you seem to have more info that others do. Instead of telling people they are wrong, why don't you just give us the correct info and share with the RRDB and forum.

WSAZ had a lil story on the system today...
http://www.wsaz.com/news/headlines/23213994.html

Motorola xtl2500....

Interesting... the TG that traffic division is using is programmed as "Kanawha Tac-4" in my radio. I was about to change it to "CPD Traffic" (even though it's not in the Charleston TG series), when lo and behold it looks like Shawn's radio says "KC TAC 4" on the display. Guess I'll leave mine alone... ;^)

Well I guess WSAZ was good for one thing....

Anywho I finally found a hotspot for my antenna so I can receive the Logan site now. I'm running unitracker through a motorola m120. Don't have a digi scanner yet so still outta luck on that front. Today is actually the first day that I have had a signal all day and there has been no activity cept the id. I did get 1 hit this morning but don't know what to make of it.....

I'm bettin it means that Kanawha County Medic 239 {radio 611322, I think) musta been somewhere near Logan and tried to affiliate with Kanawha EMS Dispatch but was denied cuz the TG isn't allowed down thar. Justa guess, tho...

Might as well put the radio to good use until I finish getting the antenna/coax to actually use it for my lil echolink project. Right now it's a pretty ghetto setup using an old cell antenna which is clip'd on to the back of the radio until I can get some mini uhf plugs in. It works for the time being.... Depending on how things go I may just dedicate it for a decode radio.

Anywhooo this is what I have so far.....

New TGs - Berkeley

TG: 1191
RIDs: 110192, 110172, 110180
Fire traffic, maybe training and a private channel.

TG: 1199
RID: 110001 (Berkeley Co. Dispatch)
IDed Fire Marshal Hale Channel.

TG: 1113
RID: 110723
No traffic recorded.

TG: 8003
RID: 80131

TG: 8001
RID: 80101

TG: 8011
RID: 80132

TG: 9055
RID: 95104

TG: 1921
RID: 151351
Recorded audio what sounded like testing on the Jefferson Co. site, but caught the RIDs off the Berkeley Co. site.

Also had a little bit of traffic on TG 1117, which I have as BCSO and Matinsburg PD, last night but I think it all was encrypted.

FWIW, Today while out and about, WVSP Charles Town on 42.06 sounded a bit weird. I think that they may be somehow simulcasting traffic off the trunked system. Wiill have more time tomorrow to investigate. BTW, thanks to all for posting information on this system. Every little bit helps. Also there was some troposheperic ducting taking place on 42.06 at about 6:30 pm today from the Missouri Highway Patrol. I don't believe that was the cause of the Charles Town "weirdness", but then who knows.

New TGs Salem Tower

TG 9223
RID 98901

TG 9309
RID 99108

TG 3929
RID 330051

TG 3323
RID 331002

Best I can tell, the 3929 and 3323 should be in Region 4. All of these RIDs affiliated with Tower 105, Salem.
