WWV going away

I've been using the CLOCK program that comes with Multipsk to decode WWV time and set clock on PC.
Now I read that NIST is requesting elimination of the WWV stations! I hope this does not happen. Historically a disaster.

Yes I use NTP also but it is cool to use WWV, Also use CHU. Fun times.

WWV = More accuracy, if you can decode the time data stream.

Outside of a few niche areas, accuracy within even a 200 milliseconds is enough for most people. Care to elaborate on the security issues?

In addition to time signals WWV is a very good tool for checking propagation. Also WWVH.
