CHP 700 MHz Base Station Frequencies

I see in the data base a list of 700 MHz base channel frequencies. Will these be trunked or conventional 700 MHz repeaters? Also, I seem to recall these would only be used in metropolitan areas with hi-VHF frequencies in the out lying areas... Is that still the plan?

Had a chance to "play" around with a new CHP portable 700mhz P25 digital. The officer on duty knew VERY little of the radio, so questions didn't go far. Here's some observations: The display is now helpful as officers using the older VHF radios knew only channel numbers and most never knew...

Does anyone have CHP dispatch audio from August 27th, 2010?

Hi, I'm new hear and VERY unfamiliar with radio operations. I've noticed a few feeds here for CHP Golden Gate Division dispatch audio but the archives don't go back far enough. If anyone could help guide me in the right direction or get me in touch with someone, that would be outstanding. Thanks!

    Audio from feed sounds "computerized"

I dont know how to explain the audio other than it sounds "computerized", which i dont think is actually a word. But hope you catch my drift. What would be causing this?
