Good morning all,

There seems to be a new site neighbor for Boonville VHF Site 115. It is showing Site 172 773.06875. Pro-96 Com Snippet below.

Has there been any changes to the Gentry County, Worth County, or Harrison County frequencies that anyone has noticed lately? I live in Gentry County, and some of the time I do pick up a couple things throughout the day, but a lot of the time it’ll just be as if I am only hearing half of the conversation, or sometimes just triggering my alert sound for half a second to not say anything at all. And I do not pick up anything at all for Worth or Harrison, mainly just Troop H dispatch in St. Joseph Any advice would help I am fairly new to using digital scanners.

Gentry County Sheriff was using MOSWIN, but the others I'm not sure about. Seems more agencies are getting on MOSWIN.
Greene county sheriffs started on MOSWIN the 1st of February and most of Springfield Pd is up and running too on Moswin. I keep my unit on Id search they might have more talkgroups that are not listed.

On Zone 4, I'm hearing something with a TGID of 41040 with a radio ID of 4210229 on my Unication G5. It keys up for a few seconds, and I just hear soft static/white noise.

I'd love to provide more info on it, but that's all my radio shows. I could set DSD+ up to listen to this system, but it's set for another system currently. I may have to let it run and see what it hears.

Hey just check my MOSWIN List. I do not have that listed. But falls in the list of the Mercy EMS for the Greene County area and the 41040 is not listed in the Database for MOSWIN.

Yes, that is a Mercy EMS , probably hasn't been submitted to the database. Keep monitoring that's why when I listen to the 800 site I leave may scanner on Id search. this may be a new talkgroup and there probably be a lot of new talkgroups' not submitted yet. Keep listing and report to the database if you notice a new talkgroup not listed. Enjoy.

This is one of the several encrypted talk groups on the new 800 system. Keep that RID handy. Might see it again once everyone has moved over.

mostly encrypted.. no confirmation that it's Mercy EMS. The RIDs suggest either Springfield Police or Greene Co SO.

Interesting, on the old system, you'd hear the undercover officers doing stings and drug busts on the SRT and Drug Enforcement channels, sometimes it was encrypted, but mostly it was in the clear.

I wonder if they are on the new system yet, was always cool to hear them when they were in the clear.

@kd0fmg : the new neighbor of Boonville - have you been mobile to see where site 72 might be? The control channel puts it in the "J" template so watch on these freqs:

1j773.06875 Control
2j773.31875 Alt control
3j773.56875
4j773.81875
5j774.06875
6j774.31875

It's worth looking at Pipertown, Sedalia, Dewitt and Renick to sort of triangulate the logical areas for the site!

The GC narcs and SRT and several other channels were reduced and combined per a GC deputy. They now primarily use GC fugitive and GC detective and sometimes the encrypted GCSO TAC channels.

Plus all LE for GC and SGF are on the new system. That would include SRT and drug task force. All that’s left now is fire, Mercy EMS, SPS Police, animal control, and apparently highway department. I’ve been hearing highway department a lot on the analog system.

I figured the days of hearing them in the clear were going to end with the new system, oh well. The snow plows for Springfield are on the new system, I was listening to them during this last round of winter weather. SPS Police are sometimes interesting, but I rarely listen to animal control or the highway department.

Once all fire is complete SPS, mercy, animal control, and any other agencies will be next in no particular order. It’ll be a first come first serve after fire is complete.

Let's not jump to conclusions. All main law enforcement dispatch channels remain In The Clear.

Most of the fully encrypted talk groups that I've logged on Zone 4 were encrypted (or at the very least, had digital capable radios) on the old M36 system. There are a couple additional TAC style channels that are now encrypted, for good reason. Most of those talk groups have very limited activity anyways. Simply put, you're not missing that much.

As for 41040, there is one radio transmitting in the clear.. all others are encrypted. Still an unidentified talk group. But radio affiliations seem to suggest it's either Springfield Police, or Greene Co SO. Radio traffic seems to be similar to the task force that often used 41296 on the old system.
