Heard them yesterday also. Prior to that, the last time I heard them was in 2023 with this transmission.
"Still got to get out to Boovers<?> Potato House and Keith Tebows"
I think this is TRUDEAU SAND & GRAVEL INC in Saranac Lake, NY. Heard them talking about sand deliveries once and referencing Osgood Farms about 10 miles away.

Maybe someone here can help with a problem,

I live in Southern California and would like to do some low band DXing on the scanner but with so many CHP channels that I can receive, searching the 30-50 Mhz band is out of the question.
One solution I can come up with is to lock out each individual active local CHP frequency but this would also block out distant CHP offices on the same frequency.
A second solution would be to lock out all CHP frequencies to do the the range search and set a bank with all CHP frequencies and tones not in my area, otherwise a lot of programming.
Anyone have any suggestions?

33.5600 CSQ Fire/EMS Dispatch - Repeater or patch - Unidentified
This was likely Lancaster County PA Fire. They had a VHF CSQ that was patched into their county trunk. It's since disappeared from the DB, but it may still be in use. Low Band frequencies are often prematurely deleted by over-zealous members here. Hopefully not the case here but could be.

100% Lancaster - one of the loudest signals here and the only thing I ever hear on 33.560 - whatever way things are set up it will often send dead air for quite a bit after a message, kind of it's signature now.

A dedicated scanner programmed without any CHP frequencies. If you follow along you will see all the frequencies posted in this thread that are relevant.

First, I want to thank everyone who's been posting their low band skip logs recently.

I've ben playing with radios since the early 1960's. Grew up in rural NJ and joined the local VFD in 1966. They were on 33.94, and most everyone else (PD, FD, RS, PW) in that part of the state was using either low or high band VHF. UHF (400's) was just coming into use in the urban areas.

I moved to southern CA in the mid 1970's, and because of listening to CHP on low band, found that occasionally I could pick up low band transmissions from the east coast. I programmed 33.94 and other NJ low band frequencies as permanent channels in my scanner, and began hearing them on a fairly regular basis. I looked forward with anticipation every night at 4pm (7PM eastern time) to hearing the siren test tones for my old VFD. During the peak cycle I was hearing them every night.

Over the years, as the skip died down, and many of the low band users switched to high band or UHF, and eventually 700~800mhz trunked systems, there was less and less skip to hear. My old VFD is now part of a countywide trunked system.

Eventually (probably 20+ years ago) I stopped listening to low band, but thanks to your posts, I started searching the low band a couple of days ago and got a couple of brief, unidentifiable FD hits on 33.86 and 33.9. Although there's no low band use anymore where I grew up, I'm looking forward to being able to listen to the remaining low band users on the east coast.

Thanks for the encouragement.

Out of curiosity, are any of the larger departments still using 33 MHz for their primary dispatch frequency? Most of the 33 MHz stuff I hear now via skip is cross-patched to 450 MHz repeaters or 700/800 MHz trunking systems. Low band is just maintained for alerting or mutual aid.
