Come in loud and clear in Montpellier, France where I reside at the moment (not Vermont). TXs are nearby. So not F2 or spE.

9625 ist stronger, 9125 might be more in the direction of Nimes, a city nearby.

I'm trying to find out if the 31MHz polytones are local too, but I don' t know which TRX1 bandplan allows me to access this range.

Got my CB with SSB and a 102 whip with me...maybe I should fire it up?

Do these 35MHz signals also travel to the mid west / west coast? Or is this more a east coast thing?

I seem to have a stable direct pipeline to the northeast from the southwest during the day... But I really only listen to 33MHz right now. Capturing as much as I can then I'll move on to another 1MHz section.

Not any that I am aware of. Between baguette and blue cheese I fired on my Surface with Nooelec Stick: No 31MHz polytones here.

IDF very active around 33MHz with DVP-like digital E 20KHz spacing and analog.

Something for American Dxers to look for - Turkish signals across 34 and 35 mhz - they are forestry management / fire lookout towers and are often quite busy. From 34.0125 - 34.9875 there is voice in 12.5 khz steps with repeaters below 34.5 and inputs above - 500 khz spacing. At the lower end of 35 some areas have switched over to eDMR - if you have an sdr here's what that looks like. Best time to look will be US mornings.

Multiple transmitters - Heres the bottom end of the 35 mhz range - every channel active. The voice signals on 34 mhz are also very good, they often give regional office names and tower names and they have ctcss tones by region.
From where you are I guess some of these might turn up via E skip in summer or the further away ones at the moment.

That Mashtantucket Pequot Fire (Station PQ) was a new capture. Hadn't heard that one before. Don't know if it has a PL or not. Warren County, PA (my favorite) was obscenely loud today - it sounded like I was sitting under the transmitter. Absolutely incredible. I'll have to Google Earth where that transmitter is.
